DESCRIPTIONS: These new models are an expansion to the rattan series vibraphone mallets. Designed for mallet specialist Anders Åstrand of the global percussion network, they are available in five models for a spectrum of sound choices. The AA15 is an extra soft mallet that sounds great on extended range vibraphones and bass marimbas and the AA25 is a medium mallet that sounds great for general playing. New are the AA20 medium soft model, AA30 hard model, and the AA35 wrapped xylophone mallet. The Rattan series artist models feature the same qualities as the existing rattan models - hard rubber mushroom shaped cores to create a full rich tone and warm fundamental and multi-ply cord for strength and durability, on our high quality, extra durable rattan handles. Anders Åstrand: Percussion artist and composer. A mallet specialist, Åstrand regularly performs recitals and clinics throughout the U.S., Europe, and Australia, both as a soloist and with his ensemble Global Percussion Network.
