He served in the Israeli army and studied at Hebrew University in Jerusalem, becoming skilled as a writer and teaching English and literature in the kibbutz school. His novels are rooted in Israeli society, and he is both a fearless innovator and a realist, always deeply involved in Israel's politics and struggle for survival. |
