iHome IP47BR Bluetooth Clock Radio & Speakerphone for iPhone & iPod

First off let me say the iP47BR itself works EXACTLY as specified. The Bluetooth was very easy to setup and works quite well. I have put it through it's paces with the Blackberry Curve 8330. I like the idea of being able to STREAM my Blackberry music to the unit. The sound is adequate but not what I expected. I have the iP9BR and really love it, sound and all. I bought the iP47BR because it was in my opinion an upgrade. And in MOST regards it is except for 2. The sound is no where near as nice and for what ever reason they changed the alarm setting. I think the dual alarm settings are GREAT but the iP47BR has one pair of settings for one alarm and a different for the second. (Check the manual) For most people that may not be a big deal and for me it's not either it's just having the iP9BR and the 2 alarms with multiple settings per alarm and being able to program them with the SAME settings is a plus in my house. I decided to use the iP47BR at work (because of the alarms) and I'm quite happy. The volume setting needs to be soft so the audio quality isn't a big consideration. The unit works FLAWLESSLY though. I use my ITouch and stream Pandora all day and the remote is a HUGE help. If you are not a stickler on high audio quality the iP47BR is a BIG TIME WINNER!!!

This is a great Ipod / Iphone accessory. Works great with my 1st generation Iphone. I don't have to turn the Airplane mode on when listening to my music when it's docked on the Ihome. It automatically switches to phone when the phone rings and switches back to music after it hangs up. Sound can't be compared to a Bose Soundock but it's good enough for everyday listening. Remote control is very useful. It can dial out, answer and disconnects phone, snooze alarm, controls volume and playlist. Great buy for the price!

Very easy to use, good sound. But it usually doesn't work with the iphone as promised. When I plug in my iphone, 90 times out of a 100 it notifies me that the accessory isn't made to work with the iphone and it recommends airplane mode. I click "no", but then I can't control the iphone with the unit or its remote. So...great product. When it actually works.

Sound quality is good for an alram clock it currently works with my iphone 3g compared to the apple store selling the unit at 200 + tax i received a pretty hefty discount thru buy.com backlight has 3 seetings as this can be bright at night. Only down side i see is when i am using this as a speaker phone the bluetooth will not stay paired every day i have to pair and unpair in order for this unit to recognize the iphone and me receive and send calls thru the unit. Im loooking for a work around over all this is a great buy at this price.
