4 of 5 It is probably what you are looking for... Saturday, March 14, 2009 Kipp from Skaneateles, NY
I got these because I hate playing music in odd places with the tinny sound of portable speakers. They have a very high quality diaphragm construction, with a decent expandable sound box.
Volume is no problem, but the sound profile of it's amplifier isn't to my liking, so I usually use an equalizer to soften the highs and deepen the lows.
The end result is fantastic sound that totally doesn't sound like it should be coming from such tiny speakers.
I have no idea how long the batteries last because I've only ever charged them once! So far, they're up to about 3 hours and counting...
The cord is kind-of a mess. Having 4 connectors on the same cord makes them prone to tangling, and the wire is fairly thin and therefore weak. I have not yet had a problem, but I anticipate having to replace this wire in the future.
These speakers certainly won't power rock concerts, but they're more than you'd need for a home office or small party, especially if your music player has an equalizer. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Amazing Minis! Sunday, March 01, 2009 A Customer from Fredericksburg, TX
You’d never believe that such a small package--actually, two small packages--can produce such excellent sound. The unit, “folded” speakers and a multi-use chord, slip into a handy bag and the whole kit and kaboodle is no bigger than a clenched fist. Opened and hooked up to your iPod or iPhone (and probably most other MP3 gadgets), the twin speakers deliver a sound performance that more than belies their size: it’ll easily play to a pretty good-sized living room and offer all the volume and most of the tones you’d require. Highly recommended. Was this review helpful?
