I gave the iHome IH4 to my wife last Christmas. It worked okay for a little while until we noticed the thing cannot keep time, it seems to jump ahead about 10 minutes per week. On top of that, the iPod connector at the top broke so our 30GB G5 iPod Video would not work any longer. I am hoping to get credit for a better unit at buy.com.

When I insert the iTouch, hit play, then hit pause I can hear a very noticeable periodic hum (sounds like a helicopter). While playing music the hum is audible during quieter passages and when the music is at low volume (like you might play it while laying in bed). I don't notice this with other radios in my house. The dimmer and volume buttons are on the cheap side. Also, it sounded awful with the bass boost on, but with it off it was quite good. I liked that the iTouch sat in the holder even with it in its hard case (and yes I removed it too, in case a bad connection was the cause of the noise). Was this review helpful?

I got this for my wife for her desk at work. It's great because of it's size. It does not take up a lot of room on your desk. It is plenty loud enough even on 1 if you don't want to bother people around you, and when she turns it up for the whole office to hear, everyone said it sounds great. This is my second iHome product and I couldn't be happier with it. Buy.com is great w/ fast shipping. Was this review helpful?
