This does what is is suppose to do so I'm glad for that. I got it to recharge my iPhone 3G and it does it just fine

This is a great car charger for both the original iPhone and the 3G version. I bought two of these when the price was too good to be true. It charges quickly on trips and doesn't feel cheap at all. I haven't had any problems and recommend to anyone looking for a solid car charger. Apple doesn't even make a car charger for the iPhone but if they did it would have to be this one.

I had purchased a different power adapter before the iGo, and was very disappointed with the shoddy construction and early failure. Tempted by the (low) price of the iGo, I ordered it and was delighted to get a high quality device that works exactly as advertised! I highly recommend this for quality and performance, but it's not the smallest device on the market-- if size is an issue, you may want to look at other options.

iGo solutions just work, and this is no exception. Incredible value on this item! It is indeed an older iPod tip from iGo, but works well with both my 5G iPod, as well as my new iPhone 3G. Highly recommended.

I purchased this second charger for my wife. I really like the interchangeable tips, which allow me to use this charger for many different devices, without having to take an individual charger for each. The tips average about $10 each so it's an economical way to keep my new electronics charged. I would recommend purchasing the splitter accessory, which allows you to charge two devices at once. Great for when you're traveling.

I bought one of these to solve 2 problems - I needed an iPod charger, and my wife needed a phone charger. I already had an IGo compatible charger in my car made by Monster, with an IGo A32 tip for my Moto KRZR. My wife lost her charger, so I gave her this IGo charger and a spare A32 tip, keeping her iPod tip. First - the IGo charger works great on both items with the appropriate tip, and the iPod tip worked well with my Monster charger. Second, the cord is a nice length, and the 12v connector was low profile enough for me to use it in my most constrained spot (when my shifter is in Park, I have a tough time inserting some chargers). Also, the iPod has a nice click and release latch to the iPod's connector. Lastly, I got curious about the tip - not all iPods are the same. I looked it up on the IGo web site and had a really hard time finding any reference to it at all, so I called customer support. Calling support was a great experience. It's nice to get an American every once in a while. Additionally, he seemed rather shocked that I had an A69 tip. As it turns out, the A69 had problems with older HDD iPods drawing too much current (I think the newer ones were OK), and all the flash based iPods were fine. He offered to replace the A69 with the newer tip if mine didn't do the job. It does, so I didn't take him up on the offer, but I think you're pretty safe with this unit. I liked this enough to buy a second one for my other daughter, and a tip for her cell phone. I have to admit, Buy.com hit a homer with this one.

I decided to get this adapter to use with my iPhone while using bluetooth in my car. Given that bluetooth is notorious for sucking the life out of batteries quickly, this adapter has come in handy for allowing me to have hands-free driving, as well as a quick top-off should my battery be low from use throughout the day. My order from buy.com was processed fast and delivered timely. I would certainly recommend this adapter and would certainly order from buy.com in the future.

At this price point, this adapter can't be beat. Build quality is significantly better than any of the generic adapters you find on eBay. The tip itself is worth more than $6.99, so it's like you get the auto adapter for free! Given the concern about the changes Apple made to the charging circuitry with the iPhone 3G, I was worried that the A61 plug wouldn't work with it, but I can confirm that this adapter does indeed work with the 3G! (and given how this iphone drains down the battery you need an auto adapter!)

Great charger, but comes with only the iPod adapter tip. Package lists all the many other tips that can be ordered separately for a long list of additional electronic devices, but it would have been better to have them all packaged with the iGo.

I could not believe the price of the charger. I ended up buying two b/c it is so much easier to just change tips instead of chargers. I also added a tip to go with my cell phone and blackberry. I cannot say enough good things about Buy.com or this item. Thanks Buy.com for providing such a great service!

This came in really handy. I had a spare Motorola tip for KRZR and RAZR, so I kept the iPod tip for the other iGo charger I have, and gave this charger with the moto tip to my wife. It works great. That said, this tip only works with a 5g Nano or Touch (and maybe the iPhone) - which is fine - I have a Nano and a Touch. When I got the unit, I searched on the iGo web site and this tip (A61) doesn't come up. I got concerned and called iGo's tech support, and they seem to have replaced this tip with the A133. The tech guy (wow - short phone wait, and an English speaking real live American) was sort of shocked that I had an A61. Apparently they took the A61 off the market because some Classic iPods (hard drive models) draw too much current. He offered to replace the tip if I needed it. So - excellent support and response, charger does exactly what I need, and I really like the quality. Classy appearance (glowing logo at night), and solid mechanicals (tips slide on and stay on). Plus - the versatility of this unit (can also do my Garmin Nuvi with a different tip, and my wife's camera). The price is ridiculous (more in line with a counterfeit knock off) and free shipping. Pretty hard to find fault with this deal.

I purchased this item for my iphone. The power tip is detachable, I guess if you need to use it to charge other devices you only need to buy other power tips. The power cord is of good quality. For $10 , it's much cheaper than the ones made by Apple. I think Apple should include a auto charger for iphone.

My new Honda Civic has an iPod plug-in, but it drains the charge. This product is exactly what i needed and it works great to keep the iPod charged while it plays. Amazing price for iGo Auto Power Kit for iPhone & iPod and the iGo auto power adapter with power tip A61 -- $10 for what usually goes for $39.

I'll make this a simple review. This charger works wonders for the ipod touch or iphone. Very solid construction. The plug that is included clips into the device securly. I never had a problem with it falling out. But there is even more to love about this charger. You can get different plugs to use with all of you devices.... cell phones, other mp3 players etc. Very functional.

This is my 5th (some for gifts) iGo charger. This is your last car charger you ever need, you just by the tip you need for the product you need to charge. Very high quality. There is also a model for home.

This is easy to use and looks classy in the car. Being able to purchase extra plug ins is a plus should you need one for another product. I would definitely recommend this charger.

If you have many gadgets you definitely need an iGo. This is just one more of them if you need to charge your equipment while driving. For $10 it's the price of the iPod tip alone so go ahead and get this combo, it's worth it!
