Anton Tobias (Devon Sawa, Wild America) is a channel-surfing, junk-food munching, couch potato burn-out who can’t control the murderous impulses of his recently possessed hand. With the help of his zombiefied buddies, Mick (Seth Green, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me) and Pnub (Elden Henson, The Mighty), Anton’s got to stop the rampaging devil appendage before it takes total control of his life and ruins any chance he has with class hottie Molly (Jessica Alba, Never Been Kissed). Vivica A. Fox (Independence Day) and Jack Noseworthy (The Brady Bunch Movie) co-star in this wickedly funny horror comedy. "One scary little gore-fest with laughs galore." Louis B. Hobson, Calgary Sun "Hands down a very funny movie!" Tim Reid, MTV Radio "Hilarious. It's even funnier than it is scary." Jeff Craig, Sixty Second Preview "Gleeful. Slapstick splatter and deadpan satire. Pretty damn irresistible." Nathan Rabin, The Onion
 Editor's Note
Anton is a teenage stoner who, one Halloween season, realizes two days after the fact that his parents have been beheaded. He is even more disturbed to learn that the culprit may be his recently demon-possessed hand. With the help of some fellow young drug abusers, some sharp objects (used to disembody several body parts), and a demon hunter (Viveca A. Fox), he may possibly restore some normalcy to his life.

Just asking. A gross-out horror comedy about a teenager with an uncontrollable, homicidal right hand, Idle Hands finally wears resistance down. The performances of Seth Green (TV's Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Elden Henson (She's All That) as stoner buddies back from the grave become weirdly endearing... The diminutive, weaselly Green and burly Henson, with his confident delivery and bravado, sneak up and almost take over the picture. They make a lively, if undead, team. - Bob Graham Chicago-Sun Times 0 of 10 Idle Hands samples other teen horror movies like a video DJ with a tape deck, exhibiting high spirits and a crazed comic energy. It doesn't quite work, but it goes down swinging--with a disembodied hand. The hand, which has a mind of its own, has been chopped off the arm of a teenage kid who is the victim of some kind of weird Halloween demonic possession... The movie has energy and is probably going to attract a young audience, especially on video, since the R rating will keep away some viewers in its target audience, which is junior high school boys. After the Colorado tragedy, some commentators have wondered if movies like this aren't partly responsible. I don't think we have to worry about Idle Hands. Kids understand this kind of macabre comedy--which is in the ancient horror spoof tradition--and they don't take it seriously; any viewer capable of being influenced by such silly gags would have to be deeply disturbed already. The only thing this movie is likely to inspire a kid to do is study Fangoria magazine to find out how the special effects were achieved. - Roger Ebert

This is the most funniest Horror/Comedy movie out there. It takes a Horror movie and just makes it Funny as hell. There are two movies like it, Army of Darkness, and Bride of Chucky. Buy it, rent it, or just leech off of a freind that has it, just see it. Was this review helpful?
