4 of 5 Great product but... Monday, March 17, 2008 A Customer from Bartlett, IL
Great product but could use a fan. If it had a fan then I would rate this a 5 in every category. If your constantly transfering data over for a span of a couple hours then I would definetly get one with a fan. If not I would get this case. Overall Happy with the unit. It was easy to install, didnt even have to read instructions to put together. transfers fast and is fairly small for a 3.5 enclosure. Esata is nice, comes with the cable and bracket. I didnt have to use the bracket because mine came built into the back panel of MB right next to the mouse port, But I wouldn't use the bracket because I hear of some people having trouble using those things and data transfer becoming slow like USB. 5 of 5 ICY Dock, nice case Saturday, December 01, 2007 A Customer from NJ
Originally bought this to house a 1 TB sata drive. The case is well made and high quality. The tray slides out easily for drive swapping. The only caveat is if you're planning to use esata, make sure you have a hibernating/stand-by capable sata card or motherboard that supports it. I have built-in sata on the mobo and it most likely doesn't support XP stand by and the drive would not mount upon wake up. I decided to just use USB ports. The speed difference wasn't as bad as I thought. Also, it works very well in USB mode. If you're looking for a good performance case with catchy design, then this is what you should get.
