5 of 5 Hard to beat for the money. Monday, March 09, 2009 Kit from SoCal
The headphones are perfectly fine for everyday use, especially if you're using this set up for recording on the fly. If you're a total audiophile you'll be annoyed by a somewhat metallic or "tinny" sound, but it won't bother you unless you're super picky about perfect sound. The mic is clear and crisp. It does pick up background noise, but it does so clearly so you don't get that fuzzy noise that you'd get from a cheap mic or webcam mic. I use this set up with a Sony digital recorder for on-the-go Podcasting and while the sound quality is nowhere near as good as a studio set up, it is good enough to sample from. For the price this headset is aces. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Horrible sound quality otherwise nice. Friday, December 12, 2008 A Customer from Pittsburgh PA
The headphones look nice and the extension cord and mic are useful. But the sound quality is like AM radio through a tin can. The other reviewers must've never tried good headphones but really, these have no bass or mid range and the treble is very tinny. There is also almost no blocking of ambient sound which is one of the reasons to get in ear buds. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 ear plugs are not soft but excellent sound quality Wednesday, December 03, 2008 Siva from Atlanta
the overall quality of the product is excellent.. surely worth the money, but the ear plugs that have been provided are not soft enough... they tend to give a pain in the ear when they are used for long hours, but the sound quality is excellent and one of the best pieces in town.
it fits into every device like ipod,mp3 player, or laptop and is very handy...i would strongly recommend this and wish they could change the ear buds, which would make this product the best. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great product Monday, October 13, 2008 A Customer from Fremont, CA
These headphones are great. The sound quality is really good and they are very comfortable inside your ear. The bass may be a bit low but that can be easily adjusted through most Mp3 players, iPods and computers so it should not be an issue in most cases. I have not had a chance to use the mic but from its build it looks like a promising product as well. Another great thing about this product is that it comes with an extension cord which you plug the head phones and the mic into. You can have either/or in at a time. Overall, this is great product for the price and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good pair of head phones and a good mic. Was this review helpful?

3 of 5 Does it work with I phone? Friday, October 03, 2008 PerfectoLeon from Tampa, Florida
I wanted headphones with a microphone so you could listen to the music and cut to calls while using the IPhone. It does not work that way. Maybe with a y cord or patch but you can use them as earphones and they are decent. I like it better than the ones that came with the iphone. They fit better in the ear and create a better ambiance with their tight fitting silicone ear plugs and seem compatible to the sound quality of the earphones that came with the phone. 4 of 5 Incredible Value! Tuesday, September 30, 2008 A Customer from Rolling Meadows, IL
I must confess I mostly purchased this because I wanted a replacement mic for my Icemat audio over the ear headphones that I absolutely love.
But my wife needed a decent headset for use with her laptop so I figured I would give these a try. At $20 each they were outrageously inexpensive.
The in-ear silicon gel ear pieces are actually pretty comfortable and they do block out quite a lot of noise . I have a Philips SBC HN060 ear phone set that has active noise cancellation and Icemat's passive ear phones are just as good, maybe even better.
One complaint is that the bag to hold the mic, headphones, and extension cord is way too small and horribly cheap. and I'm annoyed by how difficult the small cords are to handle when I want to quickly listen to something on my iPod.
Performance wise they are good enough for your average listener, but I think that the bass performance is not all that great. Something that I can tweak a little with the equalizer but even then it seems to be missing something.
But for $20? These are amazing! Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Great Sunday, September 07, 2008 A Customer from New Orleans
The style is very fashion and I especially like the microphone because I can speak far away from my laytop. In addition, the earphone can block outside noise and thus you can enjoy the whole music. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Good for the price. Monday, August 25, 2008 Udon from Hacienda Heights, CA
The headphones are not bad, it¡¦s built very well using silicone-like material for ear buds and fits nicely in the ear while blocking out some noises like a ear plug for swimmers. It is not a true-noise cancelling ear phone where there is actually a noise-cancelling device built in, it simply blocks out noises. I have to say, the sound quality of this ear piece is not as good as my Sony ear phones, which was also bought around the same price (cheap). It lacks both the lower and higher frequencies. The original price of this ear phone is around one hundred dollars, the quality is nowhere near that price. It¡¦s worth about twenty bucks or less. But at this price, you also get a microphone, which is not bad.
The Microphone wire can cling together with the ear piece, which is convenient, but I believe this piece would be better if it came with a Velcro cable tie or some better way for storage than that bag that comes along, it just tangles up too much. The Microphone itself is very clear in a quiet environment but it¡¦s not a one directional microphone as one of the reviewers had mentioned. This means that if you are doing Skype in a public environment, it will pick up the sounds around you and pretty much everyone else¡¦s conversation.
Overall, it¡¦s a good convenient (small) piece to carry around for regular use. The built looks pretty good and well made. But the quality is not that great for enjoying music nor is it great for a private conversation (picks up too much).

5 of 5 subpar sound quality Wednesday, August 20, 2008 drmittal23 from New York, NY
I was trying to replace my aging apple ipod's earphone. I saw good reviews on this unit and bought it. Please try something else if you are looking for good bass. The design of earphone is okay and is able to reduce ambient noise and feels comfortable in ear too. But it sounds horrible and I am very disappointed and going to return this one. Need the ear-buds and microphone for voice over IP calls with associates and clients. Using IOBI (tool) allows me to work from home and listen in on conference calls. Works with my iPOD for the flights into client locations. Highly recommend this for road warriors. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Comfortable, good fit and decent sound. Thursday, March 01, 2007 A Customer from San Rafael, CA
For the price, these are excellent headphones. A little weak on the bass, but an EQ adjustment on my mp3 player compensates for that pretty well. Overall very clear and enjoyable sound. I have not used the microphone, but it seems good. I mostly use these for listening to mp3's at the gym, but I just got off a 5 hour flight and had these in most of the time, and they were very comfortable the whole time.
My only complaint, which is a bit of an issue, is the asymetrical cord for the headphones. From the plug up to abot two feet, the left and right side share a cord, then it splits and the left side is very short and the right side is longer. It is kind of annoying. I borrowed a little alligator clip from a phone headset to clip the wire to the left side of my shirt collar and that makes a big difference, very helpful. It would be better if both the left and right side cords were the same length in the first place. But for the price, fit, comfort and sound quality, I am pleased with this purchase overall. 1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 in-ear, some ambient noise reduction Wednesday, February 14, 2007 Len Lynch from Chicago
I expect a lot from in-ear monitors, and am pleased with the value that ICEMAT deliver. Good sound quality, efficiency, balanced tone, even on spoken word audio.
The highs and lows are sightly exaggerated, but in a good way. I try to calibrate my listening environment for flat freq response and only use equalization to correct environment audio defects where possible. Music and spoken word program material both sound good.
I am hard on ear buds, using them 2+ hours a day while commuting. I have had reliability issues with more expensive in-ear monitors. So far, more expensive in-ear monitors haven't lasted more than a couple of years. The cabling on the ICEMATs maybe more durable than it looks, time will tell.
Because I take noisy public transit, I want the ambient noise to be reduced, so I can listen to audio at the lowest volume possible and still experience reasonably good sound quality. The Siberias are comfortable, but don't block as much environmental noise as more expensive and beefier in-ear monitors. I try not to listen to music loudly, but they sound good at moderate, and when asked to punish, they can if your device can output good loud audio.
I bought the Siberia on sale, on a lark, but the everyday price is well worth it. I could only get white, I'd have rather gotten black if there was a choice. My only thought approaching a regret.
Kudos to ICEMAT! Was this review helpful?

The earphones are quite decent. Compared to Sony earbuds, these fit more snuggly to ears. The sound quality is decent, lacks bass. But for the price, I think its a good value.
The mics performed above my expectations. As an armature podcaster, I was looking for a decent unidirectional mic and this fits by needs.

5 of 5 A fantastic product. Wednesday, February 14, 2007 Desmond J. Sam from South Brunswick, NJ.
I basically bought this product just for the microphone. With a deal, I got it real cheap. But to my astonishment, the earplugs are real good. I wouldn't say it is the best, but it is awesome considering the money that I spent on it. I would definitely recommend this product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good deal with rebate Wednesday, February 14, 2007 ryanpbrunner from Columbus, OH
Headphones and microphone both worked great and the extension connector that works for both items is very helpful. Note: you can only use the extension cord for either the microphone or the headphones but not both at the same time. Sound quality is great through the headphones and they are very comfortable relative to most other earphones I've used (although I'm not a big gamer so I haven't tested other high-end products). Microphone has an on/off switch on actual mic that is helpful when you need to mute it quickly. Seems to pick up sound from all directions so you can actually clip it to your shirt and people can still hear you. I've used it mostly with computer to phone calls and most people can't tell the difference. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 great ear headphone Tuesday, February 13, 2007 A Customer from La Jolla, CA
This headphone gently and comfortably "plugs" into your ears. So enjoy the nice sound quality without any heavy feeling on your head. It comes with quite stylish look as well.

These headphones have no bass and sound pretty much awful. The cheap headphones I got for free with my MP3 player are better then these. I bought them because of the rebate BUY.com was offering, but dont waste your time, look for another pair. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 DISAPPOINTING FIDELITY Saturday, February 10, 2007 Don from VIRGINIA
Although the specs look good, the sound is terrible. There's too much treble and next to no bass. Might be good for gaming, but not serious music. The included mic is a nice touch. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Worth the money Friday, February 09, 2007 A Customer from Rochester, MN
Headphones are comfortable for an adult size ear, unfortunately only one size of plugs is provided. Microphone seems to work fine when clipped to shirt, no need to speak up or loud, people atthe other end of the "line" can hear me fine. Final price after rebate was well worth the purchase, if anything at least for the headphones alone. Sound quality is good, I use them to work out so excelent quality is not to important for me. 4 of 5 Pretty good Friday, February 09, 2007 Nathan from Seattle, WA
I have a hard time finding in-ear headphones that fit snugly and are comfortable. I used to be a devoted partisan of the Koss Plug, but their new earpieces come only in one size: too small for me. These are a much better and far more comfortable fit, though not quite as snug as I'd hoped. That's probably good for the health of my ears though :)
Overall, I quite like these. The fit's wonderful. I can wear them for hours with no discomfort. The sound is good (but I'm no audiophile). And though I've not used them yet, the extension cord and microphone are wonderful additions.
I was disappointed that the cord for the right ear is longer than the left, requiring that I wrap the cord around the back of my head. I think this is one of the dumbest changes in headphone design in a long while, but it seems pretty common. And I'm getting used to it. I would have given a five were it not for this and the slightly too-small-for-my-ears fit. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Almost Happy Friday, February 09, 2007 nylater from NYC, NY
Let me start by saying I love Buy.com. What I am unhappy about is the time and followup it takes for Mfg. rebates. I realize Buy.com has little if anything to do with it but perhaps putting pressure on those whose products they promote might help. The average time I have waited is around two to three months. That plus phone calls made to check. I didn't mean for this to be a gripe session and I will always continue to use Buy.com. I feel safe and I know they will back me up on any issues. 5 of 5 pretty great Thursday, February 08, 2007 A Customer from Santa Barbara, CA
What a great value (esp. w/the rebate) for such a great product! Not ony is the sound quality good and it passively blocks ambient noise, it also has a microphone and extension cables for added flexability. I don't own an ipod, but it looks like these were designed to match them, which could be a plus if that's your use. Don't settle for crummy $5-10 buds, or splurge on a $300 pair. These are affordable AND work well. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Comfortable and very high quality Thursday, February 08, 2007 A Customer from Los Angeles, CA
I'll admit, it does take some time to get used to the way the headphones go in your ears like earplugs. It helps when you're riding a noisy bus on a daily basis to be able to block out some of the sound. The earphones get very nice bass response, clear sound, and most importantly they're comfortable. My ears always started to hurt after an hour of using earbuds, but I can wear these for several hours a day without getting too fatigued.
Despite other reviews I have read, too, for whatever reason the cord doesn't get tangled as easily as other earphones I've used. And they are made of sturdy stuff. I've abused the rubber earplug pieces quite a bit in the past three weeks or so, but they're still as good as new, and quite resilient to being washed or rubbed down with alcohol wipes. 5 of 5 Buy theese Thursday, February 08, 2007 Justin from Minnesota
these headphones are amazing. they are pretty cheap ($20 rebate helps) and sound really nice. if you want to buy new headphones i would recomend theese because they are really small and block out almost all sound and they have the same sound quality as large headphones. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 VERY GOOD DEAL!! Thursday, February 08, 2007 A Customer from Rockville, MD
This is one of the best deals I found on headphones, in-ear headphones are very expensive, icemats are pretty expensive as well, but this was a good deal. They aren't bose, but they are worth a good amount. Sound quality, I would say, 95%, but value is definitely over 100%. It also comes with a mic that easily clips on to the headphone cable, a small bag for carrying your headphones in, and 2 pairs of replacement ear pieces so you won't throw it away if you lose one pair. 4 of 5 decent for the money Thursday, February 08, 2007 A Customer from waco, tx
These earbuds provide good bass and treble response for the money (compared to Sony MDR-EX51LP), however beware! They do not come with foam earpieces like the description on both buy.com and the icemat website used to say! The earpieces are not adjustable, and if you have small ears (if you need the smallest bud covers for the sony's for instance) then these will be uncomfortable. I had to order additional earpieces from ebay to compensate, but overall still a pretty good deal. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Great price but not enough bass Monday, January 29, 2007 A Customer from Fairfax, VA
The headphones are a great buy, especially since you get a Mic also....but the quality of the headphones leaves a lot to be desired. The sound you hear is comparable to cheap headphones with not enough bass. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 5.1 in your ears! Wednesday, January 24, 2007 Debashish Sahu from Galveston, TX
One of the best earphones I have ever owned. This fits perfectly into the ears and does not fall off. It comes with adjustable earplugs that prevents outside noise and believe me it sounds great. It has great bass and treble effects, but because it locks into the ear it leaves a weird sensation. After frequent use one gets used to the reverberations. The stunning white color complements the ipod.
The package also comes with a microphone which is too bulky. It comes with an extension cord which saves a trip to an electronic store. Was this review helpful?
