Purchased a new laptop and couldn't find a backpack that it would fit into. I found this one on buy.com and decided to try it. My 17" widescreen fits nice and snug. I wasn't really thrilled with the color of the bag but once it got here it looks pretty good. The bag has TONS of space for accessories, power supply (the one for my laptop is HUGE), folders, cables, etc. The only thing that would make this bag better is if it were another inch or so taller in the laptop compartment so I could put my neoprene protector in it and still be able to zip it closed. Not that the bag isn't nice without it, I would just like to have a little added protection for my $3k laptop. Was this review helpful?

I had actually found this backpack at a local store and when I returned to buy it they didn't have any more. So I searched for it online and found it at Buy.com for $17 less than the store had is selling for. I purchased it and received it within a couple of days. I like all of the pockets which makes organizing much easier. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Pack, Fits Tons of Stuff, Carries Well. Monday, February 23, 2009 Mad Max from Bremerton, Washington
This is a fantastic backpack if you have a 17" notebook. It's unbelievable how much junk you can cram in this thing. It expands like a turtle shell. I was easily able to pack my 17" Sager with all my peripherals, in addition to my xbox 360, the controllers and the ghost busters power brick. There's endless pockets and the red pouch up top is great for a camera. Even a nice spot for my cell phone on the front. Two water bottle webs on the sides. Would make a GREAT trip pack if you didn't want to take a suit case. The only thing I hate about it is those rivet holes on the back. What on earth are they there for? There aren't any elastic straps so you can use them to bungee something to the back, but I suppose I could remedy that with some customization. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 This is a very nice backpack Wednesday, January 07, 2009 marathon95 from Columbus, OH
I had a Swiss Backpack previously. I really liked it. I got a 17" laptop. I needed to get a backpack that was made for a 17" laptop. This bag has plenty of room, lots of outside and inside pockets. My 17" laptop fits fine in this bag. Was this review helpful?

I was able to fit my 17" HP widescreen, Xbox360, Wii, Sony MDR-V700 headphones, plus all accessories in this bag. Sure it weighed 40lbs, but the shock absorbing straps really made a difference and didn't wear me down. A very durable bag, highly recommended. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Well made, roomy, with lots of options Tuesday, September 16, 2008 gwh from Washington, DC
I've only had the SwissGear IBEX 17" Notebook Backpack a month, but it appears to be very well made. At first, there seemed to be WAY TOO MANY pockets and dividers, but as you might expect, after you get use to the bag, you learn to appreciate the flexibiliy of being able to organize so much. For my last trip I carried a laptop with charger, a few files, a pretty big camera bag, a large headphones case, a book and lots of little stuff (thumbdrives, etc) in the small pockets. You will probably be able to put more in the bag than you will want to carry. Overall --- very nice, and I'm more than satisfied with the purchase. As always, very compettitive pricing and good S/H service from BUY.com Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Big bag- Great Price Friday, June 27, 2008 A Customer from Tulsa, OK
This bag is huge. Can take my Dell 1720 and weekend's worth of clothes. (Oh yeah and a toothbrush) Storage spot for every accessory, (mouse, hedphones, charger, DVD's, few blank CD's) almost bordering on too many places to store things. Comfortable to wear and I'm a pretty big guy.
My only complaint is that I noticed a snag in the nylon part of the lower strap about 3 weeks into ownership (used about 4 times). Not sure if it was there from the start, or if I snagged something. Not bad enough to return though, if it gets worse it does have a lifetime warranty. Was this review helpful?
