5 of 5 Awesome bag 9/3/2010
BB from Colorado Springs, CO
This is the best backpack I have ever owned. Fantastic construction, features, and the laptop section is plenty big enough to fit my 17" HP laptop. Wide openings give me easy access to all my contents. I haven't even used all of the compartments it has. Love this bag.

5 of 5 Outstanding backpack for the price 9/3/2010
Steve from Kewanee, IL
Seen this advertised and had been looking for just such an item. Swiss Gear is typically "great stuff" and this item did not disappoint me. Great construction, very durable, well organized with tons of storage. Anyone looking for a computer backpack to fit the larger screen devices would not be disappointed in this item.

5 of 5 Great Bag 8/30/2010
rkb from Cary, NC
This is a great bag. I have the 15" one and bought this for my 17" laptop. I have had the 15" bag for about 5 years now, and there is not a thread lose, and the color has not faded. I have traveled with it across the world at least twice a year. The back cushion and cushioned straps are excellent and you never feel the laptop weight.
If there is a negative, the blue is much darker in real than what the picture suggests, but I don't care about the color.

5 of 5 Great Backpack & Great Value 8/22/2010
A customer from Altoona, IA
After going through several cheaper backpacks for my kids, I decided to step it up buy something that would last longer. This backpack seems to be the one. My daughter is going into 6th grade and the way this thing is built I would expect it to last through High School. Great value and well built.

5 of 5 Good Backpack but NO CHEST STRAP, MISLEADING LISTI 8/16/2010
Sean from Santa Rosa, CA
Great backpack, however, the listing mentions an adjustable chest strap and this is not the case with the IBEX, only with other models like the Synergy and the Pegasus. Misleading information, needs to be rectified.

5 of 5 Best laptop backpack...period! 4/27/2010
Tom from Fort Lauderdale, FL
I travel across the country every week for work. I put this backpack through the worst and it has still held up amazingly well for about 2 years now. I have spoken with others who do similar work and they buy laptop backpacks costing almost twice as much (which have less bells and whistles than this bag) and they are replacing them yearly!! Worth every penny, dont hesitate.

5 of 5 Awesome Bag 3/30/2010
Pod from New York
I have owned many backpacks. This thing is indestructible. I put tons of stuff in there and am very abusive to it.
Typically the shoulder straps are the first thing to go. Mine is at least 3 years old and shows no sign of wear.
There is a reason these are on the expensive side. They are worth every penny.

5 of 5 I thought I was too old to use a back pack 1/20/2010
Don from Nshotah, WI
This is the best back pack ever.
I had bought a smaller, lighter back pack which did not protect my 17 inch laptop. The backpack got knocked off a table and cracked the corner of the laptop. Anyway, I saw this one and it was perfect. Pockets everywhere. Room for pencils, books, notebooks, etc and my laptop. It is very comfortable on the back and shoulders as well.
My only complaint is the casebase stabilizing platform. My case keeps falling over. I guess I need to keep it full of books.
But I do enjoy this backpack. I take it everywhere. Great for organizing.

5 of 5 Nice Bag 6/30/2009
from Ohio
Purchased a new laptop and couldn't find a backpack that it would fit into. I found this one on buy.com and decided to try it. My 17" widescreen fits nice and snug. I wasn't really thrilled with the color of the bag but once it got here it looks pretty good. The bag has TONS of space for accessories, power supply (the one for my laptop is HUGE), folders, cables, etc. The only thing that would make this bag better is if it were another inch or so taller in the laptop compartment so I could put my neoprene protector in it and still be able to zip it closed. Not that the bag isn't nice without it, I would just like to have a little added protection for my $3k laptop.

5 of 5 Very Happy 3/19/2009
from Wichita, Kansas
I had actually found this backpack at a local store and when I returned to buy it they didn't have any more. So I searched for it online and found it at Buy.com for $17 less than the store had is selling for. I purchased it and received it within a couple of days. I like all of the pockets which makes organizing much easier.

5 of 5 Great Pack, Fits Tons of Stuff, Carries Well. 2/23/2009
Mad Max from Bremerton, Washington
This is a fantastic backpack if you have a 17" notebook. It's unbelievable how much junk you can cram in this thing. It expands like a turtle shell. I was easily able to pack my 17" Sager with all my peripherals, in addition to my xbox 360, the controllers and the ghost busters power brick. There's endless pockets and the red pouch up top is great for a camera. Even a nice spot for my cell phone on the front. Two water bottle webs on the sides. Would make a GREAT trip pack if you didn't want to take a suit case. The only thing I hate about it is those rivet holes on the back. What on earth are they there for? There aren't any elastic straps so you can use them to bungee something to the back, but I suppose I could remedy that with some customization.

5 of 5 This is a very nice backpack 1/7/2009
marathon95 from Columbus, OH
I had a Swiss Backpack previously. I really liked it. I got a 17" laptop. I needed to get a backpack that was made for a 17" laptop. This bag has plenty of room, lots of outside and inside pockets. My 17" laptop fits fine in this bag.

5 of 5 Excellent bag for all your gear! 11/27/2008
TheSmartestManAlive from Anaheim, CA
I was able to fit my 17" HP widescreen, Xbox360, Wii, Sony MDR-V700 headphones, plus all accessories in this bag. Sure it weighed 40lbs, but the shock absorbing straps really made a difference and didn't wear me down. A very durable bag, highly recommended.

5 of 5 Well made, roomy, with lots of options 9/16/2008
gwh from Washington, DC
I've only had the SwissGear IBEX 17" Notebook Backpack a month, but it appears to be very well made. At first, there seemed to be WAY TOO MANY pockets and dividers, but as you might expect, after you get use to the bag, you learn to appreciate the flexibiliy of being able to organize so much. For my last trip I carried a laptop with charger, a few files, a pretty big camera bag, a large headphones case, a book and lots of little stuff (thumbdrives, etc) in the small pockets. You will probably be able to put more in the bag than you will want to carry. Overall --- very nice, and I'm more than satisfied with the purchase. As always, very compettitive pricing and good S/H service from BUY.com

4.7 of 5 Big bag- Great Price 6/27/2008
from Tulsa, OK
This bag is huge. Can take my Dell 1720 and weekend's worth of clothes. (Oh yeah and a toothbrush) Storage spot for every accessory, (mouse, hedphones, charger, DVD's, few blank CD's) almost bordering on too many places to store things. Comfortable to wear and I'm a pretty big guy.
My only complaint is that I noticed a snag in the nylon part of the lower strap about 3 weeks into ownership (used about 4 times). Not sure if it was there from the start, or if I snagged something. Not bad enough to return though, if it gets worse it does have a lifetime warranty.
