5 of 5 Great value! Tuesday, March 17, 2009 Vicky from Lake Tapps, WA
It's a little hard to get a channel at first but in less than 2-3 minutes you are generally on your way. There are times when I travel a long distance that what was a blank channel starts to bring something in and I have to start over. That can be a pain. I also encounter this if I'm going on a parking deck. But for the money - who cares!!! I can deal with parking decks and moving the dial up or down a couple of channels!
The sound quality is as good as your speakers and as good as the mix that you've put on your ipod. So sometimes you may have to volume up or down. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Staticy, at Best Friday, January 09, 2009 A Customer from St. Louis, MO
Used this in a 2006 Ford Mustang GT in the front seat with a front mounted antenna, and I am severely disappointed with the performance of this Transmitter. The transmission was mostly staticy, at best. I am glad that I bought this on sale for only $15... Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value Thursday, January 08, 2009 A Customer from Capo Beach, CA
Item works as advertised and I am pleased with this purchase overall. Easy to use and works great with the external antenna on my pick-up truck. Fast shipping and good service through Buy.com. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 It's okay for the price Thursday, January 08, 2009 Neil from Billings, MT
I decided to upgrade my FM transmitter for my iPod and chose this model based on size and price. On the open road out of the city it is clear but volume is lacking (I think most are like that though). However, in the city there is a lot of interruptions from random signals which is very frustration. My old one did a much better job in the city. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Didn't Work for Us! Wednesday, January 07, 2009 A Customer from Aurora, CO
It's easy to set up, got it for a great price, but....... no matter what station we set it on, the sound is fuzzy. We have another one that is a different brand and it picks up the sound just fine. Not sure why this one doesn't! Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 no adapter for older ipods Tuesday, January 06, 2009 Jim from Phoenix AZ
They tell you that this product is ipod compatiable but the car recharger male fitting is too small to fit my older 60GB ipod. I am assuming the plug was built for the newer ipod minis. There is no adapter to fit the older models. The FM transmitter unit works fine. I gave this product a half score because I can only make use of half the product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Hi, akganta. Not akganta? Click here. My Accoun Tuesday, January 06, 2009 Ashok Ganta from Durham, NC
This is my first FM Ipod trasmitter. It is very easier to setup and use just plug it and tune your Car Radio to the Station.
Previously I used to use the Cassette adapter to plug in my Ipod to Car Tape recorder with all the cord dangling.
I have a van and my kids who sits in the rear seat can easily control the Ipod from there.

4 of 5 Easy to Use - Moderate Signal Strength Tuesday, January 06, 2009 A Customer from Indianapolis IN
I found the IPod FM unit to be very easy to setup and use. I like the automatic charging of the IPod - probably worth it for that alone. The FM signal is only moderately strong - I have to move the IPod and unit around to get a static free signal in our SUV. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Terrible Audio Quality Tuesday, January 06, 2009 Nathan from Fredericksburg, Va
It is nice and small, and will charge your IPOD. BUT, you can't connect a 1/8" line out to a stereo and charge (the FM unit covers the audio out jack which is needed to charge it). So you are stuck with Always using FM with this unit. But when using the FM on any frequency I got light white noise distortion on the high end of the music. Completely annoying and unacceptable. If you want a charger that will always be used as only a charger that you don't listen to music at the same time. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Ipod FM Broadcaster Works Great! Wednesday, December 17, 2008 John Nally from Harrisburg PA
My daughter had previously purchased several different FM broadcast units so she could hear her Ipod through her Saab's FM radio. They all either stopped working or literally fell apart. This one is small, snaps into the bottom of the Ipod very easily, and sends an excellent signal to the car radio. And you can't beat the price. Note: signal/audio quality depends upon distance from the unit to the car's antenna and how clear the channel is you selected. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Depends on your antenna Tuesday, November 25, 2008 Vern from Washington, DC
On my new Subaru Forester (antenna in the back window) this doesn't work too well. However, on the old beat up Ford work van (antenna on the front hood) it works very well. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works good Tuesday, November 11, 2008 A Customer from Garden City, NY
This product works good when is positioned in the back seat. It caused static noise when is placed in the front. So far, not a real issue. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works great Tuesday, November 04, 2008 Monique from Huntington, NY
This is easier to use than my first FM ipod transmitter and much less expensive. It set up very quickly and comes on right away when I turn it on. I use it to listen to podcasts. When I listen to music has the same quality as my prior FM transmitter. Quick delivery. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 weak signal Tuesday, November 04, 2008 A Customer from WA
The FM signal is very weak. I place the unit within a foot from my car radio, and it still doesn't sound very good. I had a different FM transmitter that sounds better than this one.
But it is easy to use and the price is right. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 great item! Tuesday, November 04, 2008 Bo from Tallahassee, Florida
This is a great item at a great price (actually was able to get it on sale for even less!)!! Works much better than the plug-in type unit that I had before!! Love it! And arrived in 2 days after I ordered!! Yea! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Amazing gadget Monday, November 03, 2008 Sue from Chandler, AZ
All I was looking for was a simple way to listen to my IPod in the car; nothing too technical nor too expensive. This transmitter is amazingly easy to use and incredible flexible. I use it to listen in the car and am also pleased with the side benefit of using it with any FM radio, anywhere! I thought about buying a couple more because the price is so low, but one is really all one person needs. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great deal, could have better reception. Monday, November 03, 2008 JeffdaRev from Delaware, OH
After hearing my friend bought one of these from Walmart for $50, I couldn't believe I could buy one WITH a charger this cheap. I love having the charger option.
The reception could be stronger, but this is my first unit, so I have nothing to compare it to. Luckily my dash has an empty space right above my radio so I can sit it near by. Sometimes when I pick it up to look at my iPod, i start to loose the reception.
If you have a place to sit your iPod near your radio, go for it. Not so sure if you will get a strong signal if you sit it on your passenger seat? Was this review helpful?

2 of 5 Doesn't charge nano 4g Sunday, November 02, 2008 A Customer from Arlingto VA
The signal isn't the best going to the radio, its not as strong as the old iTrip I had for my old 20gig iPod, and worst of all the nano 4g chromatic won't charge with this charger. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good IPod accessory Sunday, November 02, 2008 A Customer from Olivehurst, CA

2 of 5 A disappointing purchase Saturday, November 01, 2008 A J Newman from Canton CT
I found the performance of this device to be poor and inconsistent. The antenna on my car is at the back of the car and is probably too far from the tuner to get a good enough signal. I cannot recommend this product. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good product for price Saturday, November 01, 2008 j195 from Chicago, IL
This is a good product for it's price. Very easy to use. I have iphone 2G firware 2.1 It does charge it. Only down side is it does get static while driving. Transmitter should be a little more powerful. Over all I like it. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Small and Sweet Thursday, October 23, 2008 A Customer from Phoenix, AZ
I bought this thinking it would be like all of the other FM transmitters I purchased, cheap and barely functional, but then I thought that for $16.99, and with all of these good reviews, even one from my city, I should try it out.
I was pleasantly surprised. I have only had the transmitter for a couple of days, but I have been using it non-stop all over the city. I barely get ANY static even though I live in Phoenix, the fifth largest city in America. I played with the transmitter in my driveway and chose a frequency close to the end of the range, and wrote down a few other frequencies that worked, thinking I would have to change it several times once I got on the road, since this has been my experience in the past, but I am still using the same channel 4 days later.
I am very pleased with its teeny tiny footprint. This is the smallest transmitter I have tried. It simply connects to the bottom of my iPod. I *do* need to keep it plugged in at all times, or else the sound quality suffers. This sucks if I need to charge my cell phone or my aftermarket GPS, but I plan on buying a power splitter for my car charger for this purpose.
I've never had any problems with the transmitter disconnecting from the iPod, but mine is the really old 6GB HP iPod, they don't make these anymore. That problem could be iPod model specific.
If I didn't need to leave the transmitter plugged in all the time for it to function well, I would have given it 5 stars for performance. I am very happy I bought this transmitter, especially at that low low price. Buy.com has some great deals if you catch them! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works great...when it works Wednesday, October 15, 2008 A Customer from Decatur, Georgia
I've had this for a few months and it works great; that is, when it works, which is most of the time. Occasionally, though, it will not recognize the frequency that I set it on, and it doesn't seem to matter what frequency I set it on, it simply won't pick it up. I turn it off and back on; nothing. Next day, turn it on and it works just fine like nothing was every wrong and it works just fine for weeks. It is very easy to use. In the metro Atlanta area, I do have to change the frequency 2, maybe 3 times when traveling over 20-30 miles or so. This is the first one of these gagets I've owned so nothing to compare it with. The sound is great...when you lock on a strong signal. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 2 outta 3 ain't bad Sunday, September 07, 2008 A Customer from Detroit, MI

2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Great product, great price Wednesday, September 03, 2008 A Customer from Huntley, IL
I first tried this transmitter in the driveway as soon as I received it. The sound was perfect. The quality of the unit is solid in every regard. I used it for a few weeks in the metro Chicago area and never had to change the frequency I was using. I decided to wait to write a review until I put it to the test during a trip from Chicago to Florida. After using the transmitter for about 12 hours during the trip, I'm happy to report that it worked well. That's not to say that I didn't have to change frequencies every couple of hours as the frequency I was using began to pick up a strong signal from a nearby radio station. But changing the frequency is easily done because of the clear, lit LCD display on the unit. All in all, this is a great transmitter. Plus it charges the i-pod when plugged in. Buy.com always delivers quality products, on time, at the best prices. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 iPhone 3G Sunday, August 17, 2008 A Customer from New York, NY
Easy to use. However, I bought this for the iPhone 3G. While the transmitter works ok, it does not charge the iPhone 3G. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Keeps slipping out Wednesday, August 13, 2008 James from Los Angeles, CA
This transmitter works great when it has electrical contact with my iPod. Unfortunately, though, after a few minutes, it always loses connection with my iPod and powers off. It doesn't stay securely fastened into the dock connector. I'm thinking that a rubber band would hold it in there, but come on, this should just work. Disappointing, for sure - other than this issue, it's a great device. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Works ONLY on rural highways :-( Wednesday, August 13, 2008 A Customer from Cincinnati, OH
I bought this to use on a recent trip to Niagara Falls. It doesn't work in the city. It only worked when I was away in a rural area and as soon I approached another city, there was static and buzzing noise and then started transmitting the closeby radio station along with my iPod music. Very frustrating ... I finally turned it off as I had to keep on finding "new vacant" radio stations. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 surprisingly great! Monday, August 11, 2008 A Customer from TX
i was a little iffy buying this, mostly b/c of the low price and the bad experiences i've had in the past with FM transmitters, but this works perfectly with my iPod. the only problem i have with it is there is no locking mechanism built into the dock connector, so it slips out easily sometimes. other than that, this is a great deal, and i definitely recommend it for any iPod users. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 decent Sunday, August 10, 2008 A Customer from chicago, il
i got my moneys worth, i like the fact that it does not need to be plugged in which makes it more easy to move around in the car and everything. in the area i am from in chicago, the signal loses at times, but overall i am satisfied. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Mediocre performance at best Saturday, August 09, 2008 Slimbobwe from Baltimore, Md.
I usually buy the Macally PodFM and I only bought this one because of the price and it looked like it was pretty easy to use. The only way you can get a decent signal on this is to take off your car antenna. Once you do that(as with any fm transmitter) it worked fine. However it is very easy to use and you can charge you ipod as well. Which reminds me, whenever I unplug the charger, the signal gets cloudy.
It's worth the 15 bucks I paid for it. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 iPod-Compatible FM Transmitter and Car Charger Thursday, August 07, 2008 A Customer from Maynard, MA
Functions as advertised.
Once you have an unused freq., then it works fine.
I can see if you are traveling on a long distance trip that you might have to tweak to find a useable freq.
For my local driving within a 40 mi radius it has been fine. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 This is a great product that does what it says Tuesday, August 05, 2008 Adam from Ashland, MA
This is a great product, at the right price. It's a small device that produces great sound on my FM radio. You need to make sure you select a radio station that is unused in your area, to maximize sound quality. Such a station would probably be found on the 87.9-92.1 range (the "non-commercial" band). The fact that it comes with a car charger is an added bonus. I was also happy that the volume level coming out of the car radio was sufficient, to the point where I can crank the volume on the radio and the music is actually loud. The other thing I liked about this product is that I bought a hardshell plastic case for my iPod Touch and I was concerned that the FM transmitter would not plug in to the touch with the case installed, but in fact it did plug in (barely) and worked OK. I would recommend this product. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great sound quality, great price Monday, August 04, 2008 Jason M from San Diego, CA
I've owned Griffin iTrips (both the original and version two meant for 3G iPods), NewerTech's TrafficJamz, and this one. By far, this is the best one out there. The Newertech suffers from noise - whenever the music has a silent passage, it will inject its own static like noise (must be some sort of autogain circuitry).
This one has perfect sound - as does the Griffin. But, this one also has a built-in means to charge your iPod (which is an extra expense with the Griffin).
My only complaint is that the dock connector doesn't snap in, so it can come loose if jostled.
Many other people have problems with ANY FM transmitter - because they can't find an unused frequency. Do yourself a favor and check out what frequencies are available where you live first before buying this, or any other FM transmitter. For San Diego, CA, I've had pretty good luck with 88.9, 89,1, and 106.1. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 volume control and reception Monday, August 04, 2008 A Customer from Jax FL
I find the reception not always strong and may be determined by the placement of the antenna.
Radio sound has to be all the way up to hear anything.
The attachment going into the phone can be loose and if you touch the wire it can cause static or disconnect completely, which if the sound is all the way up, the radio will blast the doors off. So, don't touch the cord or the unit once it is working and don't hit any bumps while driving or you may be hurrying to turn off the volume and then while not looking smash into the car in front of you.

5 of 5 Excellent price, so much better performance than I Monday, August 04, 2008 Susan from Keystone Heights, FL
I purchased this on a whim since I needed a docking slot-based fm transmitter for my car. I was a little shocked when I found this product- I could charge and have a digital tuner that DIDN'T TEAR MY CAR APART? (a Griffin RoadTrip Tuner literally ripped out the lighter socket from the front panel. Not only that, the tuner faded out during the quiet segments of songs I was listening to at the time) This tuner continues to transmit as long as it is plugged into an IPod. This alone makes it 500x more worthy than the ITrip series from Griffin and other tuners that I have tried out only to throw them out/ return them in utter disgust. The only complaints I have is having to remove my Ipod out of my hardcase to use the tuner, and the dock latching kinda loosely (I think it may be my IPod itself, since it is older, and is docked at home in a clock/speaker setup). Other than that, I basically plugged it in, have excellent signal (I live in-between two major cities, so there's not many channels free.) and can enjoy roadtrips again. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 A great product! Monday, August 04, 2008 Bill from Mt.Laurel, NJ

4 of 5 Works fine Monday, August 04, 2008 Joe from New Jersey
The unit is small and works well. I really like it. I do get some static but not enough to annoy. Love the in car Ipod charging feature. No problem adjusting frequency. I would recommend it. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 OK but not great Monday, August 04, 2008 A Customer from Mill Valley CA
For the price I paid this transmitter is OK but it suffers from a weak signal that is easily interfered with by an FM station. As I travel across the Southwest I will have to look for a new channel and change the transmitter. A difficult task traveling at 70 miles an hour. Also, as noted in other reviews, it easily disconnects with a slight amount of movement. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 reception easily has static Monday, August 04, 2008 ryanowitz from Madison, CT
Perhaps I don't understand the nuances of setting this up, but on a 2-hour trip I frequently had to change stations to which I tuned the device. I kept getting vague static--enough to make listening (to books in my case) uncomfortable. Reception varied a bit if I moved the i-pod around, but I had no consistent, extended completely clear sound. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works well enough, could be better Sunday, August 03, 2008 A Customer from Cleveland, OH
Got this item late, so I wasn't able to use it as much as I wanted to, we had a long trip planned. The value is good at twenty bucks, at twenty nine there might be better options out there. The FM adapater itself is simple to use, but it doesn't actually clip or lock into place when plugged in. This makes it susceptible to falling out. Should it have clips that lock it in, this would be fantastic buy. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Terrible for Southern California Sunday, August 03, 2008 Charles from Southern California - LA Region
Don't even bother you live in the LA area. I bought this only because the price was right when it was on sale for just a few bucks. So, value is good and it is easy to operate. But, the performance is just terrible. In So-Cal, there is just not one radio station that I can find that will work good. Even it does work, it works just for a few minutes, then static and audio from something different will come in. I can have it, for example, at 89.5, but the strong frequency next to it at 89.7 will eventually take over. This happens up and down the FM dial. It's frustrating because this particular car does not have cassette and the cassette adapters are much superior as I have no issues in my other car using that. Was this review helpful?
0 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 1 of 5 Don't waste your money! Wednesday, July 30, 2008 Maggie from AL
I bought this FM transmitter with a hope that I will be able to listen to my IPod in the car. But I didn't realize that I will spend 15 minutes everyday just to set the right frequency. For the product to work you need to have a free channel. And unfortunately as you travel you are bound to have different channels on different frequencies. Not that the product didn't work at all. But probably the transmitter's signal isn't strong enough and so my radio rather prefers to catch noise... Such a waste. If I have to get this thing working, every morning I have to spend 15 mins to just find a free channel and even then it won't work. It's frustrating. Was this review helpful?
