This is my first scanner. I purchased this one based on its ability to scan 35mm slides. The slide adaptor is easy to use and it scans four slides at once. I am disappointed with the clarity of the slide reproduction, but it may partly be due to my inexperience with using the settings feature. I do not find the HP Help to be very clear. Overall, I like the scanner for its value and ease of use.

I had previously been using the All-in-one HP 1610. I thought it was good for the money I had spent on it. But it pales in comparison to the speed and ease of operation of this scanner.
I was especially concerned with the speed and ease of use since I want my hobby of preserving family photos to remain a hobby.
This was a great investment for the money.
