5 of 5 Great Deal For The Money 8/22/2010

I have only had this printer for a short time but have absolutely no complaints. I read numerous reviews of this printer before purchasing it. I saw many negative statements about it but have found them to be false. It is easy to set-up and easy to get up and running on a wireless network. I have a Netgear router and the wireless set-up was a snap and took only a few minutes. Also installing the printhead and ink cartridges were a breeze. Contrary to many statements that indicated it as noisy I find it to be reasonably quiet and fast. I have owned several HP printers over the last 20 years or so and I think this one is the best of them all. And it even cost less than my last all-in-one. To sum it up, I can't speak to long term usage yet but I am extremely satisfied so far and think it is an excellent deal for the money. I believe the problems most people encountered were from simply not bothering to read the instructions! I recommend this product highly! Note: I am running Windows Vista but the printer also came with a disk for installing with Windows 7.

The installation was a little bit of a problem. Unit comes packed with installation discs for Windows Vista. Had to download drivers for Windows 7 and had a small glitch in install process. This caused recognition loss of the printer each time the computer went into sleep mode. Did a reinstall and the printer has worked great since. Pros - wireless and cost of ink cartridges Cons - None come to mind
