HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One printer

I went online about 3 months ago and found this printer on sale for $50.00 new limited time only. I asked my son-in-law (computer eng.) if it was the same one he had and before he e-mailed me back he went online and got him one. He had the older 6310. This is a newer model. He then e-mailed me and said to buy it. I did and have not had any trouble at all with it working. The scanner is a little slow but works great. The Ethernet part on the printer works great. We have it set up for 3 computers at home. Does a great job all around and I have told other friends to get one when it goes on sale again. Free shipping came with it.

This is the worst product I have ever gotten from HP (and I have had DOZENS). If I had a nickel for every time it jams, I could buy three printers to replace it. Other than that, the scanner is the slowest I have ever used, but the quality is not bad (you will be waiting several minutes).

GOOD: the price includes ink which makes it an incredible value. copier is plug and play. copies fast and very easy. printer is plug and play. printouts are great quality. paper feed handles a lot of paper. scanner does a good job - even if it's difficult to use. BUY.com is always a great shopping experience. BAD: scanner buttons and software don't communicate well. scanner only works through the included software - scanner is not plug and play. scanner operation involves constant trial and error. OVERALL: great value overall. i don't use the fax, can't comment on it.

We have had other HP products and been very happy with them. This is no exception. It works great. I wish I had ordered two! It was delivered promtly. We have been very happy with every Buy.com experience that we have had.

I managed to steal this printer when Buy.com had it on sale a little ways back and it is an awesome deal from Buy.com. I got free shipping too. I ordered on Saturday and had it on Tuesday. AWESOME PRICE, SUPER FAST SHIPPING. Can't beat it.

I use this in my home as our one printer to do everything. It prints, faxes, copies and scans and does it standing alone on the network. My wife loves that she can print from her laptop wirelessly over the network. It was very easy to set up. I do recommend going online to download the newest driver from HP. There is a problem with the printer uninstalling spontaneously in Vista. Once I had the new drivers all was smooth sailing.

This Printer/Scanner/Fax is easy to set up and easy to use. I have been raving to my friends and co-workers about it for weeks. The Buy.com price was fantastic. I purchased this machine to replace my old HP printer, also I was in need of a fax machine. Printer was very easy to setup on my ethernet network. It was very easy to access the printer from my wireless laptop connection and from my hardwired ethernet desktop printer. Printer came complete with ink, great instructions and works beautiful. Would recommend printer/copier/fax system to anyone who wants a very nice combo package at a great price.

HP Officejet 6310 Multifunction Printer was a bargain for $49.95 and it is indeed a multifunction printer. The print is clear and crisp, I have made copies, sent faxes, and scanned documents without a glitch. Because it is multifunction, it saves so much space in my office. It was easy to set up, comes with 158 page user's guide that is easy to follow. The printer had free shipping so I thought it would take a week or so to receive but Buy.com had it here in two days. Thank you Buy.com--I am very pleased with my purchase.

Was able to easily hook up computer to my network. Software was very good. Print quality appears to be very good for the price. Looks good and has a lot of very good features again for the price it is hard to beat. Buy.com was best price available.

Had I known it was this good, I would have bought 5 at the price I got it for! I was going to give it to my sister, however my Canon printer heads failed, and I needed color documents for a business presentation the next day, so I unpacked this unit, set it up, and WOW! Sorry Sis... I'm keeping it. I've never been a fan of all-in-one printers, until I got this one! The set up was a little tricky, as the install program took a while and required a re-attempt twice. I am running XP SP3, on a new AMD dual core system w 3.25 GB RAM. The Flash Card reader works great, but not as quick as a direct connect from my camera to the USB 2.0 port... not sure why, as the printer is connected to USB 2.0 also. Print quailty is wonderful, I love the fact that you have so many "ink saving" printing modes. The fast draft mode is great, and super fast printing speed.

You really can't beat this machine for the price. I plugged it into the wireless router and installed the software to my laptops and can print from anywhere in my house. The fax, copier, and scanner just adds to the benefit. Great product...easy to install!

Have only had it for about 2 weeks, but it seems to work great. For some reason Vista finds the printer on the network better than XP. I had to load the HP drivers before XP could find it, but that's a Windows problem, not a printer problem. I'm happy that HP has finally made it optional that you load just the "barebones" printer driver, and doesn't inundate your computer with a bunch of junk you don't need (unless you want that stuff). When I hit scan it provides a menu showing the computer you want the scan sent to, but it only shows one of my computers. Most likely that is solvable, but not a huge big deal to me. That's the only reason I dinged it slightly on ease of use. Otherwise I'm totally happy and would recommend it.

I was a little worried about getting this printer hearing about some of the issues it has like software problems and print-head problems. Had absolutely no problems installing the software and I run 64-bit Vista and the printer runs like a champ for the $50 price tag I paid. Tried scanning, printing, and copying and all worked great over my old HP printer that just printed. The only thing I did not like is the software that HP bundles. Completely worthless so I just use my Adobe Photoshop Elements to do all my work off of.

This all-in-one printer gets the job done. The fax machine part even works through VOIP. (i.e. Vonage) This is a great printer all around. The price I paid through here was like $10 more than the price of the replacement ink cartridges on my old printer. It even shipped fast. I got mine 3 days after I ordered it. That was using the free shipping option. I will definitely recommend this printer to friends.

First, Buy.com promised to have the unit to me in 7-9 business days - I ordered it on Monday and it was delivered on Wednesday (2 days) !! This unit weighs in at 17 pounds and replaced an older HP All-in-One that weighed 30 pounds, but his unit does more and is much easier to setup. The paper feed and receive trays in the front are a little finicky, but functional. Software installation was a snap and the unit was printing, scanning and copying within 20 minutes. Even though the scanner is a bit slow - the images are bright, crisp and clear. The software also provides many more options for converting and saving that my previous unit. If you are looking for an inexpensive unit for your personal or small business use, this will work great. Thanks Buy.com for the speedy delivery and unbeatable price.

This printer is probably one of the better inkjet aio units I have used. Ink is still slightly too pricey but the unit is quiet and has an easy to use interface. The desktop faxing capability through efax works seamlessly with this unit. Overall great unit and great price from Buy.com!

I researched this product at an office supply store before buying online and decided the HP6310 was the 4-in-1 printer that was best for me. It functions as expected, with the print and especially the copy speed being a little slow. However, the fact that it had a network connection built-in and the low price ($99 at Buy.com) was the deciding factor in selecting this model. It was easy to set-up and operation of the printer was very similar to my last HP, so it didn't take long to learn how to use it. I am very satisfied with this product and would reccomend it unless picture printing quality was your highest priority. I was also told that HP was the only manufacturer who sanctioned refilling ink cartriges, which adds to the economy of this unit. Delivery from Buy.com was prompt (less than the 7-day expected period for no cost delivery). This is the third product I've purchased from Buy.com and I consider them a very reliable, low priced source.

I have been using the HP6300 for several weeks, printing color photos, copying, printing from my Mac and my notebook computer without any problems over my network. The only downside for me is that my old Dell using win98 is not compatible with the printer. I use this computer mostly as a server and it connected to my laser, but I would liked to have had all three printing to the printer. The rpinter does an excellent job.

For under $100, this is a good deal. You can hook this up to a wireless router via an ethernet cord (not included) and have it networked after installing drivers on all your systems. Vista 64 bit drivers are not on the disk that ships with this system, but are available at HP.com and installed easily. It is not a fast system, but it's complete, easy to install and inexpensive. It also can copy or print without a computer turned on. Adjustments are made easily on the front of the unit. It ships with a book, but you don't really need it as it's all pretty straight forward. Media ports are a nice addition too. The ink that ships with it will quickly need replacing, and both tanks should run $40 total to replace. Not a bad choice for a home office or dorm room.

I just received a 6310 this week. I run a Mac, OS 10.3.9. I got the USB interface to work just fine. But I cannot get the ethernet connection to work. The instructions in the manual, as well as the instructions in the installer assistant, tell me to pick menu options that do not exist. The Mac Printer Setup Utility cannot find/recognize the printer in my network. It has an IP address, and I can get to the printer's settings using a web browser, but no printing. I've used HP's email tech support, but they have no idea what is going on. It seems as if HP is totally unaware of this problem. Is anybody else having trouble installing the drivers for the ethernet connection on Mac OSX? What good is an ethernet printer without the ethernet?

The price was right. Delivery was very fast. Setup a snap on my Ethernet network. Every feature works well. Print quality is excellent. One negative aspect: the hinges on the flatbed cover seem a bit flimsy.

I use the Officejet 6310 for my home office. I ordered this and as usual, Buy.com had it at my doorstep right on time. It was very easy to set up. I had this unpacked and functional in 20 minutes. The scan speed of this device is a little slow on the sampling, but is functional. Something I didn't think about was the lack of a paper drawer. This device has a paper feed that holds about 50 or so sheets of paper. Not a big deal. I would buy this again.

The HP 6310 4-in-1 arrived much sooner than I expected. It was in perfect condition. I found it to be very easy to set up and to use. The print quality is excellent. I'm very happy with the product and my shipping experience with Buy.com.
