7 of 7 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 OUTSTANDING SOUND & IMAGE Sunday, January 20, 2008 A Customer from Eugene, Oregon
We purchased this from Circuit City for $169 plus a 4Gb SanDisk HD SD Card and USB Reader ($129 or less is a deal, $169 seems overpriced for the size).
The brilliance, quality and range of the sound and images are breathtaking - tested with full sampling of genre and hues. Interface and various design features, "intuitive" and "intelligent." Remote helpful. New form AC adaptor saves space, nice thin cord, long enough. Snap on wood frame nice.
Wrote HP with a few suggestions for improvements (navigate quickly, bi-directionally, between first image and last image; some wipes leave a single thin line of pixels from the prior image on the left edge of the frame).
Customers need to know some limits of SD cards may require workarounds to display 1000s images and play mp3s: Create folders "music", "picture1", "picture2", etc. with no more than 512 files each. Root directories of SD Cards max out around 600 images due to file system (FAT). Also, for some reason, image rotations made in Vista OS don't "stick" but in XP do.
I've studied at least 30 different frames and find HP the best of all - many others had serious malfunctions and lacked the features and quality. Would like to buy a 10" version next. Was this review helpful?
