Honeywell Permanent HEPA Type Tabletop Air Purifier

Our office is in East LA, for those who haven't been, it's just a little better than Beijing. I have this little guy in my office, and the day I plugged it in was the day I finally could breath! Of course, it's nothing fancy, but it's got a cleanable filter - I don't have to buy a new one, at least for a while, and ionizer. Simple and to the point, and also very quiet. Highly recommended.

I bought this because my office staff kept turning off the big air purifier for the whole office because they couldn't hear to talk on the phone. I bought two of these to put in the rooms the staff spends most time sitting in. They made an immediate difference in the air quality and sinus drainage and coughing. After a full day, though, 3 of the 4 of us had headaches which went away the next day when we turned off the ionizer. The ionizer produces an ozone smell, which makes me think it's producing ozone and not just negative ions, and ozone buildup in a small space can actually cause eye, nose, and throat irritation. But this is easily fixed with the touch of a button!

I am amazed at how fast I received this order. I placed it 7/8/09 and the next day it was here. I have it in my kitchen area and it works great. I read elsewhere that a few people think it is loud on the high setting. I disagree with this, but we are all different. I do not think it is that loud, and on the next setting can hardly be heard. Of course all air purfiers will perform best when windows and doors are closed, which is why, being the time of year it is, my husband won't let me get one for his sports room even though everything is closed up and locked at night. Otherwise, I would order at least 1 more. Ionizer makes air smell clean and fresh and I do not have a clicking sound.

This is much better than a similar looking maodel by another manufacturer. Very quiet at low speed, not distracting at medium speed. The sound made is like a breeze blowing, not a motor turning. I ordered it at 11:30 on Monday, and it was delivered the next day - by free standard shipment. BTW: The clicking sound when the ionizer is on is normal and goes away once initial room cleaning is completed.

Works very well. Sits on my desktop and quietly gets the junk out of the air in my office. Highly recommended.

This unit works very well in my bedroom applicaton, I run it on low, so it makes a nice white noise source for sleeping. The ionizer light is brighter then the night lite. Small footprint so it is unobtrusive. I have replaced all my air purifiers with perminate types now.

I took this to my office because I could not stop sneezing....my sneezing was gone from the very first day. Highly recommended! Be aware of its effective coverage before you buy it...is only suitable for a smaller area

It is REALLY very quiet...but some ticking noise when using IONIC mode...so I turned it off. It is much better than the spinning kind of purifier which makes SOOO much noise. This is the 3rd I purchased in a week and by far the best

For a lower priced unit, this cleans a bedroom I have that is about 12x13 and always has 2 dogs sleeping in it at night. Clears the air pretty well.

I bought a Honeywell Model HHT-011 unit about a year ago to use in a bedroom that I share with several pets. I was so pleased with it that several weeks ago, after suffering from respiratory problems at work, I purchased a second unit for my office. The results have been more than I hoped for, and they were immediate. I also have an older (5+ years)Honeywell air cleaner that does a satisfactory job but requires a $60 replacement filter yearly, so a big selling point of the Model HHT-011 was the fact that the pre-filter can be rinsed off, the HEPA filter vacuumed. This unit also has an electronic ionizer and a night light. I plan to purchase a third one for the kitchen.

I have tried so many different things in an attempt to rid our apartment of the old, stale smoke from the previous tenant. We've lived here for 6 months and even have new carpet and paint, and the smell remains. I ordered this because of the permanent filter, and was pleased at the quick shipping. I plugged it in, and within 6 hours both my husband and I could smell a difference in the apartment. I leave it running around the clock, level 3 (high) at night and level 1 (low) during the day. IT IS A MIRACLE WORKER!! I am so pleased. I keep going outside and coming back in to smell the difference and make sure it really is continuing to work. Now I see why people order several, one for every room in the house. I think I will do the same!
