I bought two of these. The battery does hold the charge. However, the bulb burned out in 2-3 days of use in one of the two zappers I bought. Too bad I threw away the boxes and can't get them returned or replaced by Buy.com. Don't waste your money on this.

This is a very bad product which neither buy.com or alco will support. It stopped working after 2 weeks and buy.com will not replace it. I have purchased from their website for over 10 years and never have I been treated so poorly by any company. I Will Not!purchase from buy.com again and neither will anyone I know.

It took forever to ship to Iowa. It works exactly 2 times. The third day it stopped working... Another cheap piece of trash from China. Don't waste your money.

I bought two of these so far. Both worked fine and the price was about $5 less than another brand of bug zapper that is not rechargeable. I am planning to buy a couple more for summer party gifts for friends. As long as they can get one or two seasons out of it, I think I'll be satisfied. I'm not looking for a 5-10 warranty on a $20 item. I can't believe how fast the free shipping is to my area.

Imagine receiving a product, then calling their customer service number (not in service) to then find out after researching it that they are OUT OF BUSINESS. I don't care what the selling price is at buy.com, it should be disclosed that the product is discontinued because the manufacturer, listed as Alco Consumer Products, has been bought by a company that does not support the product. If buy.com dealt fairly and honestly with its customers, maybe they would see more sales from those customers. I, for one, will avoid errors like this in the future by simply being cautious about deals from buy.com.

It is not a super strong zapper but more then enough to fry the little buggers. Super easy plug it in and charge it ... take it outside and zap away. Another Buy.com value purchase.
