Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) is back! But this time he's in New York City -- with enough cash and credit cards to turn the Big Apple into his own playground! But Kevin won't be alone for long. The notorious Wet Bandits, Harry and Marv (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern), still smarting from their last encounter with Kevin, are bound for New York too, plotting a huge holiday heist. Kevin's ready to welcome them with a battery of booby traps the bumbling bandits will never forget!

"[Macaulay Culkin is] an irresistible phenomenon..."  Hal Hinson, Washington Post

Editor's Note

Kevin finds himself once again alone, this time in the big apple. The wet bandits have escaped from jail and, after a few more rounds with Kevin, probably would have been safer in jail.

Plot Summary

It's Christmas time again, and the McCallisters are off on another vacation. But Kevin wanders off at the airport, and while the family make it to Florida as planned, he gets on a plane bound for New York City. Once there, he turns the city into his personal playground, as he checks into the Plaza, befriends a toy-store owner, and once again battles burglars Harry and Marv.

When Macaulay Culkin's trap-setting, burglar-fighting, Christmas-celebrating Home Alone grossed more than $477 million in its initial theatrical run in 1990, a sequel was inevitable. Two years later, Culkin was alone again, but this time New York City was his warzone. Unfortunately, we're the victims of his re-hashed antics. The McCallisters are on their way to Florida for Christmas vacation. Kevin (Culkin) makes it to the airport with his family, but somehow ends up getting on the wrong flight and lands in New York, alone. Armed with his father's wallet and a tape recorder (dubbed the "Talkboy," for marketing purposes), Kevin sets himself up in a swanky hotel room and hangs out at fancy toy store....read the full review

A Viewer from York, PA

"Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" is my favorite movie of all-time. I really like the Pigeon Lady who is played by Brenda Fricker. When I saw how Kevin (played by Culkin) befriended the Pigeon Lady in the movie it made me want to reach out and be friendly to a homeless person. I have the video game of this movie for Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Game Boy. I have the sound track as well. I think this is a great movie to watch anytime of the year, even though it takes place during Christmas. I'm glad there isn't much profanity in the movie, that makes this movie an acceptable movie for all ages. The movie gives the viewer a good view of New York life. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern do a great job at playing the robbers in the movie. I could go on and on about the superiority of the movie but I want to just urge everyone to purchase the movie! -Andy (high school senior)
