Why the heck did you take my order as "in stock" when it was sold out? Then why did you not notify me that is wasn't available? I need the two drives that I ordered (and that you told me were in stock!!!) now, not when you eventually get them in stock at some unknown date. This is very poor service. As for the drives themselves, I hope they are good. But Buy.com dropped the ball on this one. Was this review helpful?

This Hitachi hard drive is whisper quiet, fast, and formats out to 233 usable gigabytes. Be ready to research installation, since this is a bare-bones drive with no cables, screws, installation guide, or any written information whatsoever. If it is a replacement drive, you shouldn't need any additional hardware. Once physically installed, if you are in a Windows XP environment, you should use Control panel - Administrative tools - Computer management - Storage - Disk Management to format the drive. Make sure you don't format your OTHER hard drive, though! I love this drive, and would recommend it to anyone who knows their way around the inside of a computer! Was this review helpful?
