5 of 5 A Flawed Sci-Fi Classic Tuesday, September 26, 2006 A Viewer from Cleveland, OH
Highlander has always been a fantastic idea marred with flaws, but you can't help but love it. Each movie, and the TV show, has been a mix of a great idea and cheesy execution. Still, when you get down to it, the original movie is still a classic even if some of its elements deserve mocking. Christopher Lambert is definitely a little off in the lead role, but he is buoyed by a wonderfully bombastic performance by Sean Connery. Connery's presence, as well as the various ideas brought forth regarding the immortals living among us, is what makes this movie shine. If you enjoy it, you may wish to check out the third Highlander movie, but pay no mind to the existence of the sequel to this film. Was this review helpful?
