For the soundtrack to HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU, the 2009 romantic comedy based on Greg Behrendt's popular book of the same name, the filmmakers assemble a pointed collection of relationship-themed pop/rock tunes. While the compilation ventures back to the 1980s with Human League's pulsing "Don't You Want Me" and Talking Heads' vibrant "This Must Be the Place (Na?ve Melody)," it also features top-notch tracks from the 21st century, including My Morning Jacket's rollicking "I'm Amazed," R.E.M.'s chiming "Supernatural Superserious," and Lily Allen's luminous "Smile."

I would recommend this CD for any age. I had the music on when my daughter came home and she enjoyed it just as much as I did. Really like the r.e.m., morrison and maroon 5 songs!

4 of 5 A Good CD from a person who doesn't listen to this Friday, February 13, 2009
A Wrestling Addicted Mommy from Toledo Ohio
For me to listen to something other than Hip Hop or R&B is an adventure. As my husband says I’m a music snob, if it’s not Hip Hop/R&B or Reggae, I won’t listen to it. Well I decided to prove him wrong! I took a leap forward and found the “He’s Just Not That Into You” Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and popped it into my cd player. The CD has some pretty catchy tunes on it, mostly from artists I personally have never heard of before like Corinne Bailey Rae, Tristan Prettyman, My Morning Jacket but there’s also a few that I have heard of like R.E.M., Maroon 5, and Lilly Allen. There are a few songs I could skip over, but overall I kept the CD in while I cleaned up and was able to tolerate it pretty well. My girls however seemed to be big fans of the CD, so that’s always a plus, to find family friendly music that we can all listen to.

5 of 5 Great Variety! Great Value! Great Buy! Friday, February 13, 2009
missgeddes from illinois
Soundtracks have two ways to go-----makes you remember the movie, makes you want to see the movie or don't even remember these songs from the movie, makes me not want to see the movie. This cd makes you want to see the movie. All the tracks are totally relatable to the average person. It has something for everyone. It offers memorable artists like the Human League, the Cure, and REM to ones perhaps a little less familiar---Wilco, Tristan Prettyman, Erin McCarley. Erin did an outstanding job performing on this soundtrack. You have to listen to her sing "Love, Save the Empty". Scarlett Johanssen sings on this cd (not in the movie) and her performance is a pleasant surprise. I highly recommend buying this cd. If you haven't seen the movie when you do, this cd will make you want to see the movie. If you saw the movie, you will want to have the soundtrack.

5 of 5 He's Just Not That Into You Friday, February 13, 2009
A Listener from CH, VA
I was pleasantly surprised when I received this CD. I think it is a great mix of artists & music. I never thought I would see a CD with the Black Crowes & Maroon 5, but they have pulled this one off. If you enjoy an eclectic mix of music, try this CD. I really enjoy it.

5 of 5 Great Mix! Thursday, February 12, 2009
Jodi from Lansdale, PA
I'm usually a fan of soundtracks. They remind of the mix tapes and cds I made as a teenager. I loved the craft of putting the perfect songs together for someone or some event. I'd sit in front of my music collection and build the latest creation. These days I still make mixes, but now they're in itunes, for my ipod or someone else's. This album is a GREAT mix tape...err soundtrack! It's full of fun, dance around your kitchen, songs. Yes, I was doing dishes when I popped the cd in! The album is full of new favorites, particularly James Morrison's "You Make It Real" and Erin McCarley's "Love, Save the Empty". I also really enjoyed the Cure and Talking Heads thrown in. It was nice to hear those songs again. A great surprise. All together, these 17 tracks really felt like a great mix tape. If you like that vibe and a good mix of great songs, go out and pick this one up. You won't be disappointed.

This cd has a nice mix of old favorites and new songs. Very easy to listen to and hard not to enjoy these catchy tunes. I think the standout tracks are by The Cure and Lily Allen.

5 of 5 Delicious melange of treats Wednesday, February 11, 2009
DebraP from Boston, MA
It's so great to find so many of my favorite artists on a soundtrack cd I can pop in the car or play anytime of day or night. And to find that the songs are so listenable. My favorite on the cd is James Morrison's "You Make It Real". His raspy soulful voice speaks to the heart. Other tracks I love are Lily Allen's, Trisan Prettyman's, The Ting Tings', and, Keane's timeless "Somewhere Only We Know". Corinne Bailey's song is sensual and smooth. To be honest, though, the only song I'm not fond of is Scarlett Johansson's. It seems weaker than the rest and doesn't quite fit. I do love the mix of styles and genres here, from classics such as R.E.M. and Human League to Maroon 5 and the altrock of My Morning Jacket. This cd covers all the moods, ups and downs of love and I highly recommend it. A fabulous melange of great musicians and songs.

5 of 5 Great Soundtrack! Tuesday, February 10, 2009
A Listener from Salem, Illinois
I love this CD more each time I listen to it! The soundtrack is generous with 17 different artists offering songs that make you want to sway to the music. The tracks are upbeat, laced with drumbeats that aren't too heavy. There are a few older classics mixed with new contemporary songs like "Madly" by Tristan Prettyman (already a favorite). All in all, a great listen!

4 of 5 Great Mix Tuesday, February 10, 2009
Jennifer Oswald from San Antonio, Texas
This CD is a great mix of upbeat and slow songs. Most of the artist are well known and favorites to many. Usually with most full length CD's I tend to end up skipping past some songs but I did not have the want or need to do so with this album. This album made me want to see the movie. The songs are great for any age and my children, husband and myself all loved it. You can be having fun dancing one minute or relaxing to nice softer songs the next. I greatly recommend this album.

5 of 5 A Highly Recommend Soundtrack Monday, February 09, 2009
blm03 from Chicago, IL
Now, it is hard to put a soundtrack together that everyone is going to love, but they did a good job. Out of 17 songs, I think there were only 2 I didn’t really care for. However, when “Don’t You Want Me” by The Human League came on, I knew I was going to love this CD. I also have a few other favorites on here like “Supernatural Superserious” by REM, “Somewhere Only We Know” by Keane, and “Friday I’m in Love” but The Cure. The biggest surprise on here had to be that Scarlett Johansson has her own song! I recommend picking this up!

5 of 5 Nice mellow mix of music. Thursday, February 05, 2009
Jennifer Stevenson from Enterprise, AL
The "He's Just Not that Into You" Soundtrack has a really good flow to it. I expected to find myself skipping through songs like I normally find when I purchase or listen to a full cd. With this cd, I did not find any of the songs that I felt the need to skip through. The entire cd has a very mellow feel to it, so it is a good fit for both cleaning music, and even while you are doing other chores. I found it very pleasant to listen to while driving, and it kept me from feeling road rage :). I have actually listened to the cd many times since purchasing, and will be transferring it to my iPod as a playlist. I think that my favorite aspect of this cd is that it has a good mix of older songs, combined with new fresh songs, yet all of them are pleasurable to listen to. If the soundtrack is this good, I definitely look forward to what the movie provides!

5 of 5 Worth getting into Tuesday, February 03, 2009
Mommy Niri from Boston, MA
A fine blend of old and new songs making me feel like I never left music scene at all. The ensemble of singers to the likes of Human League, R.E.M, Cure, Talking Heads etc brings a host of talent together for you to sample in one classic disc. The additional soundtrack by Scarlett Johansson (Last Goodbye) is an extra treat since it is not featured in the movie itself. My favorites were "Don't you want me" (Human League) and "I'd Like To" (Corinne Bailey Rae) but the entire soundtrack was totally listenable. Since I decided to give the music a listen in the car, it surprised me to hear my 3 year old (whose idea of music only extend to kiddie tunes) scream out "Put it louder mama". And indeed I did.

5 of 5 He May Not Be Into You, But I'm Into This CD! Tuesday, January 27, 2009
Connie from Renton, WA
There are some standout performances for me on this CD. Erin McCarley’s, “Love, Save the Empty” is outstanding and I’ll be checking her out now for more of her music. I also enjoyed discovering The Ting Tings, a group I’ve not had the pleasure of listening to before. Also on my list of new discoveries is Corinne Bailey Rae. Her soulful rendition of, “I’d Like To”, is touching. I'm probably above the target age group (by a lot!) but I loved the mix of old familiar songs with new and fabulous artists I've not heard of before. After enjoying the CD I'm so excited about seeing the movie!
