4 of 5 A great test of HD capabilities Monday, January 19, 2009

I just bought an LCD tv and the Memorex Blu Ray Player Buy.com had on special over the holiday. So, naturally, I needed to take it out for a spin. While shopping for Blu Ray DVDs I came across this sampler. I thought it would be a great way to test out the capabilities of my new toys. Let me tell you, it didn't dissappoint. However, there are a few things you should know about this product.
1. There are a good number of samples, showcasing some of the different 'scapes of the series. However, the name of the product does not lie and the "samples" are pretty short.
2. To add to the semi-frustration of the short samples, the camera angle/shot changes often.
3. Because of the limited time of each sample, it definitely leaves you wanting more. If you're interested in any of the segments on this disc, it is my recommendation to pass on the sampler altogether and get the full length version of whichever one you're interested in. It promises to be much more gratifying.
All in all, I don't have anything bad to say about this product. It is what is says it is (SAMPLER), and is great to "kick the tires" on your HD system. Was this review helpful?

If you have a HDTV and a bluRay player this is a must for you. You can use it as a screen saver on your TV during parties/birthdays etc. Viewing experience is wonderful especially when you are watching specially filmed/edited natural scenery on hidef.
