2 of 5 Not the best Monday, June 15, 2009 Garey P Alimia from Gretna, La.
The device does not fit tightly in the USB port if you happen to touch it it will turn off. Then you need to unplug and reinsert it into a different USB port, The range is not as far as the factory device. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 USB WiFi - a simple solution Tuesday, March 24, 2009 Diane Taylor from Tucson, AZ
We needed to hook a computer into the wireless system of one of our local libraries where we have an office. The USB wireless network adapter was a simple solution that didn't require taking the CPU apart and adding hardware. It works well and the colleague who needed to access the Internet is quite happy. 4 of 5 hawking usb wireless card Monday, February 23, 2009 Roger Moore from Chattanooga TN.
I must say it works much better than I expected. I am using it with a cantenna external antenna and I have no trouble getting a signal. It works much better than the wireless card that came in the laptop. I am going to buy another one soon for my home setup. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 good product and not pricy Tuesday, September 23, 2008 Steve from Irvine, CA
Reception is good and reliable.
Price: OK
If you need something for long-range, the one with dish
will be better(like 300N dish adaptor).
I have 300N dish adaptor for long-range use and highly
recommend it.

This definitely is much better than dealing with an internal LAN card. I was impressed with how simple it was to install and set up, it worked almost immediately! Have been referring these to my friends and family now -- great buy for a good price! Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 A little disappointing... Saturday, March 10, 2007 K-Ed from Lancaster, PA
Bought this adapter because I liked the idea of being able to hook up an external antenna to it for improved reception. Thus was not the case with this one. Tried other USB receivers without the external hook-up and ended up returning them because of performance that was not up to my expectations. Granted I am receiving from building to building, but I'd expect better performance from something with an external antenna. This would be fine if the transx was in the same building, but there are equivalent USB adapters out there for less $$$ than this one. Hope this helps. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product, With Decent Ease of Use Thursday, October 12, 2006 A Customer from Wichita, KS
I really like the USB wifi adapter. Its pretty easy to plug in and use, however, I think the only thing that I didnt like was the installation of the drivers. You can only install them by installing a proprietary program, which during installtion, can either be a replacement WiFi connection center for Windows, or allow you to use Windows built-in wifi connection center. Either way, you have to pick one of them to use, to be able to use it, and install the drivers that way. I do wish they would have either had the drivers directly available on the CD, without having to install the program, or at least have them available online, but they dont.
Other than that, the adapter works great, and I even connected an external directional antenna to it, and it seems to work even better. GREAT buy for the money. Was this review helpful?
