    2 of 5 Good if you only need wireless internet Tuesday, June 26, 2007

    Though this device functions well and at good speeds, it does not allow wireless clients to perform DNS queries to a local network, nor does it allow wireless clients to print to a networked printer on a local segment. I have noticed in the past 2 months that the router goes through a power recycle every 30 minutes or so. While the outage is temporary, if you're planning to do gaming using this router, it may not give you the continuous traffic flow needed for bandwidth intensive apps. Range is not as good either. Though it does give you the option to not broadcast your SSID, which decreases the probability of freeloaders on your network.

    The price is right, but stability is questionable, so is it worth it? Configuration was very easy, wireless configuration using WPA works fine. Now to the problems. I've see other reviews mention problems with Windows Messenger dropping connection. I verified this is the case with LAN clients. Also Citrix clients drop. Emailed Hawking tech support and they are repling with more questions then answers. What I did for Citrix was set up port 1494 as a Special Application. This kind of sucks since only one person at a time can use Special Applications. This has helped so far. Will try with Windows Messenger next.

    I replaced my old Belkin router with this one and it went very easy. The router has been working great even in the far corners of my house.
