2 of 5 Did not meet my expectation Wednesday, April 11, 2007
A Customer from Colchester, CT

This card may technically perform well, but getting it there was a pain. I give the hardware a pretty good grade, but the UI is another story. My opinion: It is terrible. It looks like it was put together by amatures who wanted a "cool" look and feel. Its just plain confusing and the instructions are very incomplete. The first problem I had was that the device was sucking up all my processing power while I was trying to record video in. I discovered through trial and error that having the video out ON while trying to display the video input overloads the processor and the RAM (and I have lots of both.) I do like the hardware MPEG compression, but that is about all I like about the unit. If I could, I would throw the entire user interface (all modules) out the window.

4 of 5 Good card - works in Linux Tuesday, October 24, 2006
A Customer from Normal, IL
I had an existing PVR-150 and added the PVR-350 for the TV-out capability. I'm using it on a Fedora Core 5 box with MythTV.

It works well, though it was a trip getting X-windows to output to the PVR as well. My only complaint about the card is the over-scan is a bit over-zelous, but I'm sure there's a way to adjust that down a bit (I just haven't figured it out, yet).

Quality is top-notch. It beat my video-card's TV-out hands down. In tandom with the 150, I know have two-video inputs which is nice. Great card for the money!

4 of 5 For use with ivtv (linux) Tuesday, October 05, 2004
A Customer from US
Bought based upon the recommendations of many users that this card was the best. It is, except the new version ships with a new tuner. The ivtv project is quickly working on patches for this version. So if your buying this for linux, check on the status of the LG tuner. Currently tuner 39 is working for the most part. Here is the link to some info about setting the card up with myth.. can be applied to freevo as well.. http://mythtv.org/pipermail/mythtv-users/2003-November/019431.html

5 of 5 Great product Thursday, May 13, 2004
A Customer from California
Running this on a Dell 933mhz and works great to record programs and play back, better than a vcr!! No tapes to worry about, unlimited record time (based on HD size), and a great online program guide interface (TITANTV.com). Because of machine I'm using I notice that doing any other activity on the computer may pause playback (they recommend a 1.3+) or make the picture jumpy. Works like a charm with a remote and output to screen or TV.

5 of 5 Works like a champ Saturday, January 31, 2004
Cruzinthegalaxie from Lancaster, PA
This unit was recommended by the developers of mythtv.org I did not try this device in windows, I am running it in a redhat 9 machine with dual p3 866mhz with 512mb ram. I was most concerned about performance, and with this card performance is NOT an issue. While recording an mpeg2 video with audio, my processors run at 97% free. I have been very pleased with the quaility of this device.
