The product is nicely packaged and comes complete with the remote control, IR receiver, and IR blaster (for changing the channel on your cable or satellite set top box).
It works great under Linux and Windows. It's a must have. It would have been nice to get it a little cheaper, but, Buy.Com makes it worth while with their awesome shipping! I bought it on Monday at ~3:45pm, and I received it on Tuesday at around 6pm. That just plain rocks!
It should be noted that the PVR-150 card is actually a NEWER card than the PVR-250. The PVR-150 is the next generation of the PVR-250. Essentially, the PVR-150 is the same as the PVR-250, but, as with newer technology, the functionality of a lot of the chips has been combined, making it cheaper to manufacture. The PVR-500 is really two PVR-150's jammed on to a single board. Was this review helpful?

Purchased this item and received it in 2 days. The card works great and was instantly detected by the linux kernal (2.4 and 2.6). I had mythtv up and running the next day. The capture quality is great. The remote also works wonderfully. The only downside I see is the the IR receiver cord is about 4 feet long while the transmitter is about 25 feet. I found I could have used another couple feet longer cord for the receiver. From the research I did, the PVR 150 is the exact same card as the PVR-250 only at a much cheaper price and with a better remote. I couldn't be happier with this TV capture card. Buy this one if you are in the market for a cheap solid TV capture card that works great with Windows or Linux. Was this review helpful?

Boston Masssachusetts...Easy install,download and install the software and you are all set. Its so easy to use, records my favorite shows and then I record to disk. Transferd my video tapes to DVD & donated videos to charity. It really is a great product. I have had no problems with watching tv on pc, recording my shows, or making DVD's THANKS WIN TV, Keith K. I popped this into my PC and ran the install CD. Instructions were clear and the process was flawless. The wizard found my cable stations and automatically programmed them in. The picture is VERY clear compared with my older ATI AllInWonder card (which is actually my primary video card in the box).
I will be transferring my 8mm camcorder tapes onto DVD with this.
One drawback - not necessarily a problem with the card though.
I have digital cable from Comcast and only a few of the channels come through unless I route the card to take input from the cable box instead of directly from the wall. Was this review helpful?
