It all comes down to this - a final faceoff between good and evil. You plan to pull out all the stops, but every time you solve one mystery, three more evolve. Do you stay the course you started, despite your lack of progress? Do you detour and follow a new lead that may not help? Do youlisten to your instincts, or your friends?

Lord Voldemort is preparing for battle and so must Harry. With Ron and Hermione at his side, he's trying to hunt down Voldemort's Horcruxes, escape danger at every turn, and find a way to defeat evil once and for all. How does it all end?

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - J. K. Rowling - Book Review

Deathly Hallows is dark and bloody, but then again what do you expect with Voldermort kicking around? One thing that strikes one throughout the book is that it is rather visual, almost cinematic. The book was clearly written in a manner that would not make it too terribly hard to turn into a script....read the full review

So it has come to this. After ten years and seven novels the magical saga of Harry Potter has finally reached its conclusion. The countdowns are over, the hype begins to subside, and the biggest question surrounding J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (besides whether Severus Snape is indeed friend or foe) can be answered - was it a worthwhile journey?...read the full review

4 of 5 Rowling Disappoints Wednesday, October 17, 2007
Topbookreviews@aol.com from Mid-West

At the very least, she disappointed me with the last book of her epic fantasy. At the very beginning I was vexed: all the mystique and terror you used to associate with the dark lord has been erased as Voldemort sits in on a boardroom meeting with his associates. After chapters of unremarkable adventure, the book draws to an equally disappointing conclusion. The finale sets You-Know-Who standing pathetically alone against onslaughts of students, teachers, and murderous elves with knives. The image is halerious, and made me almost feel sorry for the archnemisis of the wizarding world. Not too much, though, because Voldemort landed himself into this mess through a series of amateurish mistakes. In general, the dark lord has the strategic mind of a 8 year old. The only reason this book gets a four is from the enormous buildup it follows from the previous six. As a stand alone, it's probably a two. Also, if you missed reading Tino Georgiou's masterpiece--The Fates, go and read it. While I'm near the end, I'm reading it at a rapid pace because it's so addictive. There is something about his books that bring you in and get you hooked. I'm loving this one and with only 40 pages to go until the end

5 of 5 Magical! Tuesday, September 25, 2007

As usual this book carries on the legacy of Harry Potter. With twists and turns, it keeps you hanging to find out whether Harry will live through his inevitable encounter with ..."You know who". You must read it, even if you have not read any of the others in the series!

5 of 5 Awesome Book! Monday, September 24, 2007
A Reader from Montville, NJ
JK Rowling has out done herself again. The long anticipated conclusion to the Harry Potter series was more than I expected. The story remains fast paced with several surprise twists. After every chapter, you are compelled to read another. This is a must read. I highly recommend to all Potter and fantasy fans.
