We bought these JBL's to stream iTunes wirelessly from our computer to our kitchen three rooms away. They were plug-and-play right out of the box, no special tools or knowledge required, and thousands of dollars less then other "whole house" wireless systems. I've worked as a sound person in both live and studio settings, and I can vouch for their full-spectrum, professional-level sound quality. And I don't think I've ever heard speakers in this price range push out so much bass! If you're looking to create surround sound with your current stereo, these speakers would be mind-blowing as the rear channel. My only criticism--and it's small--is that the speakers are really unattractive. They look just like JBL's pro line of PA equipment, kinda chunky, with rubber shock pads on the top and bottom--which is great if you're lugging sound equipment from gig to gig--but they're intended to be used in the home, in plain view. It would be nice if they came in white, for instance, so they would blend with the ceiling (where I have them installed) or faux wood grain to match your existing speakers.

I placed them in our enclosed sunroom. I had a subwoofer which was being underutilized, and hooked it into the appropriate jack. The sound is fantastic. Set-up was very easy. No problem with the reported "reset" problem after extended low signal intervals. Highly recommended. Buy.com had best price. mb woodstock, ga

These speakers blew me away! I am extremely picky about the sound of my stereos and Televisions, and these delivered! I put them about 20 ft away from my Bose wave radio in a screened-in porch so that we could sit outside and not have the door open to listen to music. After easily installing the speakers, I realized that they are very close in quality to my Bose wave radio! Being able to control the speakers seperately from the Bose radio is great too! I am buying a second set for another area in the house!

These are excellent speakers if you can't run wiring to speakers easily. They sound great and work great.

Although "wireless" is a relative term (the only wireless connection is between the audio source and the speakers)these speakers work great. They saved me from the unpleasant task of running speaker wires under my crawl space to reach the kitchen and the sound is excellent. The speakers themselves must be plugged in to an AC source and are connected to each other by speaker wire but if you have no problem with that they will provide excellent sound for an affordable price.
