4 of 5 Not a widescreen, that's why I bought it. Monday, May 04, 2009

The trouble with a widescreen is they are smaller top to bottom and most things we view on a computer like web pages run up and down and most things are not formatted for the widescreen yet so the view ends up stretched sideways.
The one I received did include the DVI cable and to me a square monitor being viewed thru DVI sure beats a widescreen thru any cable. The contrast and brightness on this monitor is very good for the price. I plugged the speakers into the front and have my bigger speakers plugged into the rear for four channel audio. Pleasantly surprised with the build quality and image. I bought this based on lowest price for a model w/DVI. Using it to display images (like a kiosk) - excellent, bright picture using defaults. Wide angle of view. Came with both VGA and DVI cables. Was this review helpful?

This monitor does not come with a DVI cable as described. Monitor itself fine but only using for business applications. Frustrating as the cable being included was one of the reasons I decided to buy this one. Buy.com says contact manufacturer and hanns-g said it lists in the manual that the cable is optional, like I had the manual to read before I bought it. Was this review helpful?

Not as comprehensive as some monitors for display adjustment - (no gamma adjust, etc...). Is a little more grainy looking on some pictures because of this shortcoming. Other than that the display is bright and well suited for text and graphical display. Was this review helpful?
