In THE HAMMER, Adam Carolla plays Jerry Ferro, a man who has reached his 40th birthday but he still has plenty of fight in him. After getting fired from his construction job, Jerry decides to get back in the game with a return to his original love: boxing. This comeback comedy also stars Heather Juergensen and is directed by the actress's KISSING JESSICA STEIN helmer, Charles Herman-Wurmfeld.

This isn't pulp fiction, or the dark knight - this is a solid sports/romcom by the aceman, no more, no less. As someone who doesn't really dig romcoms, adam made it work. Those familiar with Adams actual life will be a bit ahead of the plot curve as many nonfictional elements are incorporated (since he actually did teach boxing while also working as a carpenter.) totally worth watching, good all around movie.
