Love this little dive. I plugged it in for the first time and it popped up a convenient screen to backup my computer. I have a Mac with Time Machine and in one click I was able to back up my entire computer. A complete no brainer. This little drive is small and quite. You won't be sorry if you get this one! Good packaging, nice ID with skinnable design. Can't argue with blackfriday pricing. Unfortunately, internal is Samsung Spinpoint M6 HM500LI, which is a 3-platter design that appears to be power-hungry and runs warmer than most 320gb counterparts. Buyer should be aware that 2.5" 500gb are still very new on the market and reliability is unproven at this point. Was this review helpful?

Fast transfer speed. Samsung drive inside (as reported by OSX). Have it partitioned into two drives - one for Time Machine and the other FAT32 for Windows/Mac sharing.
I love the portability of the drive. Other than that, what can I say - It's a hard drive...It stores stuff. Was this review helpful?

This is a great portable storage solution. It has more capacity than most PC's and fits in a shirt pocket. Another plus is that it uses a standard cable without any extra power requirements. Nice clean lines too, if it's not needed it's not on there.l

It works as well as any other external USB2.0 drive does, and is powered by a single USB connection on my laptop (the supplied USB cable doesn't even have the usual second plug for extra power).
However, the aesthetics of the enclosure is beautiful! If you have a gloss black plastic laptop with deep red LEDs, this thing is absolutely perfect! I am rarely impressed with how HD enclosures look, but this is one of the best ones.
It's almost a shame that I plan to mount the HD & USB/SATA adapter inside the (relative) chasm inside my hp Pavilion zd7000. The adapter circuit board actually is attached to the underside of the HD, extending just enough for the SATA connector, so the enclosure is likely a bit shorter than most without really being any thicker.
