5 of 5 Love this Washer Tuesday, October 21, 2008
Jean Lorance from Tyler, TX

Perfect for one and even 2 people. Easy connection. does a great job. I like the choices of washing loads, water levels, & even of just rinseing or spinning. I recommend this washer to anyone that lives in a small place, and hates laundry mats. My son built me a stand with wheel, & now I just roll it in & out of a closet.

5 of 5 2 Thumbs Up; & more if I had them! Saturday, October 18, 2008

I am more then happy with my Haier .91 portable washer.(HLP21E) It is perfect for my apartment, & the included sink hookup was a plus. It washes & rinses great, & the different wash & water settings are really nice to have. My son made a stand with wheels for it, & I now roll it in and out of a storage closet with ease. The Haier dryer (HLP 140E) fits the washer load size exactly & it is also handy & well made. They both come with excellent instruction manuals.

5 of 5 A great little machine Friday, July 11, 2008
Sailorman from tampa
I live alone in a big house with poor plumbing. I got this washer after my full size washer quit and I got sick of laundromats and/or running out of clean clothes. No plumbing repairs needed. It arrived with the requisite dings on the drain hose side only. All the dings were from the inside, except a large dent around where the drain hose exits. It's not noticeable in use, so I ignore it. None of the damage interfered with installation of the bottom plate, which now comes with directions stamped in the steel. (Someone's been listening to customers) After reading reviews about leaking hoses, I checked, but short of replacing the clamp, there is no way to tighten it if it had been loose. For the first two weeks, I ran this washer almost continuously any time I was home in order to catch up with a HUGE backlog of laundry. I never had a leak or overflow. Just a couple times, when washing heavy items, it was necessary to re-balance the load for the spin cycle. Also, my bathroom sink has no pop-up and the end of the drain hose is a custom fit and goes securely into the drain hole without the U-shaped end piece. It really does a better job than I expected with cleaning. Tougher jobs come out better if you use hot water and a presoak. I like to use one of the Oxy type powders with more soiled loads. But normally, this is not necessary. For not having an agitator, it really does do a suprisingly good job. The main thing is not to overload it. I do one queen-size sheet at a time. Or two pairs of jeans and a few socks/underwear items. Or 4-6 shirts, or 2-3 bath towels. After 2 minutes in a 3200 rpm spin dryer, (sold separately elsewhere), my jeans air dry in about 4 hours at room temp., most synthetic items dry in 30 minutes or less. It is lightweight and quiet. It is gentle on clothing, and it ran perfectly the very first time with no leveling or tweaking needed. I wish I could have afforded the next higher model, but so far, I'm thrilled with this machine and it'll pay for itself pretty quickly.

Very good for small apartments. About half the load of a regular washer, but you dont need to go to the laundromat. Easy to install and use. An excellent house helper.
