 Editor's Note
In 1997, cinematic auteur Robert Altman returned to the small screen with his executively produced television crime-drama GUN. Created by James Sadwith, the series took an unusual anthology approach with stand-alone episodes that followed the changing ownership of a mysterious handgun through a rotating roster of actors, writers, and directors that included Ted Demme, James Gandolfini, Rosanna Arquette, Randy Quaid, Daryl Hannah, Sally Kellerman, Carrie Fisher, Kirsten Dunst, Daniel Stern, and Martin Sheen. Original and daring, GUN only aired for half a season but is presented here in its entirety for a total of six fascinating episodes: "The Shot," "Ricochet," "Columbus Day," "All the President's Women," "The Hole," and "Father John."
