Notes & Personnel Info | | The market for guitar-heavy instrumental versions of your favorite pop hits has to be pretty slim. Still, if there's a niche for chamber quartet takes on the same material, why not this? Here, ten Foo Fighters tunes get the treatment. "Learning to Fly" gets a chukka-chukka addendum close to Billy Joel's "Still Rock & Roll to Me," "Monkey Wrench" becomes a classic rock slow burn in the style of Slowhand, and "Everlong" is overtaken by harmonized guitars. Overall it's pretty hokey, but Foo fans might find it entertaining as novelty. ~ Johnny Loftus |
