I recently bought these speakers for my dorm. I live in a hall style dorm that is about 16 dorms long, and my room being the first, the speakers can cleary be heard at the end when they are turned up. Overall i don't think i could be any happier with these, also considering the affordable price. They have 2 channels wich makes it quick and easy to hook up a ipod. Also the wired controller is perfect for volume and bass control. The speakers are loud and clear, and the bass hits well. This wouldnt rattle a wall or anything, but i get a few txts a day asking if i could turn my bass down. lol Like i said, i amm 100% satisfied with these. They are a must buy. These are my first 2.1 speakers and I LOVE THEM.
The bass pouring out of the subwoofer makes the basses of my music so much more pure, more incredible.
The remote also makes it extremely handy to change the volume and the amount of bass. Was this review helpful?

Have had them for almost a month, and they are excellent. Sound great for such a low price. Unless they have some weird durability issues I'd say you can't go wrong with em. Wish the power unit was different because the plug is a sorta large wall wart, but if you get the right kind of surge unit the large size isn't a problem. Was this review helpful?

I had a set of Logitech z-2300 THX speakers that sounded great (and loud). With a new (smaller) desk, I could not put the subwoofer under my desk (too big).
So, I reviewed just about every 2.1 system available and came across these. I read a review in one of the PC mags and it was an editor's choice. Now I know why.
The sound is fantastic for a less expensive system. The bass is surprisingly deep and solid for a smaller unit. The speakers cover the mids and high quite nicely. I'm sure they will get even better as they are "broken-in".
