Works as described.
We have developed .Net application that sends/receives SMS via T-Mobile's network.
Good and reliable hardware, great customer support (needed 64-bit driver and had some AT programming questions), what more can you ask for.

We use two of these modems for extensive sms/data applications within our engg. group. Works seamlessly with the open source Kannel sms gateway on our production Linux servers. A little pricey though.
Be very careful with the serial cable. It uses some sort of custom pin config and Multitech doesn't sell the cable separately. So the only way out was to get my soldering iron and alter the pin config on a normal serial cable. Not a pleasant procedure.
