5 of 5 product works as advertised Monday, April 20, 2009 hardpack1991 from garner, nc
bought the sansa fm transmitter for my e260, the product works as advertised. Sometimes you have to change the stations when travelling due to a radio station being on the same channel, but the product allows you to choose any frequency instead of some presets. The sound is good to great, didn't have any issues unless it was competing with a radio station. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 works well Thursday, January 15, 2009 chris m. from savannah, ga
this has worked very well. expected interference occurs if the FM station you dial into has some signal. i am very pleased. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works very well for me Monday, July 07, 2008 John from Virginia
It's great to have the charger and fm transmitter in one, & the transmitter works great over my radio. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 It's O.K. Monday, June 30, 2008 Jim H. from Gwynn, VA
This item is the low end connector for your car stereo. I had no illusions when I bought the Griffin product. It works fine for a low end MP3 player connection to the car. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Save your money and get something else Thursday, May 29, 2008 Mark from Broken Arrow, OK
I am using this item with a Sansa e240, and I am disappointed. It looked promising at first, but after I began to use it my spirits quickly sank. When the e240 is plugged into the iTrip, you can no longer control the volume using the turn dial. That in of itself would not be a problem, except that the FM transmitter distorts music when the Sansa outputs high volume causing it to crack and cut out entirely regardless of car stereo volume levels. If you go into the Sansa's settings, there is a Volume setting, but your only two options are High and Normal. High is what causes all the distortion through the transmitter. Normal is distortion-free through the transmitter, but it is so quiet that you really have to crank up the volume on the car stereo in order to hear it. Even at maximum volume on the car stereo, the music just can't be played loud enough for those favorite tracks. Then, should you acidentally change the FM station off the iTrip's frequency, you will get your eardrums assaulted from having the volume turned up so you could hear the Sansa. My car doesn't have a tape deck, an auxillary port, or a normal dash that allows you to change out the head end so I didn't have much choice. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Does very well; some limitations Monday, May 05, 2008 A Customer from Atlanta, GA
I bought this to link my Sansa e250 to my car stereo. I love the flexibility of tuning in to any FM station - some older FM transmitters limited to presets, whereas this one allows you to scale the FM band to find your own best station. The system doesn't go as low or high as my car's stereo band, though, so some of the clearest stations can't be used. Overall, though, it's a great option if you don't have a line in. 4 of 5 Good Deal Tuesday, February 26, 2008 A Customer from Clinton, MS
Pros: 1)only 1 plug-in to the Sansa, not one for audio and one power 2)4 presets, plus you can manually tune to another frequency when traveling 3)Sound is better than cassette audio adapter, but not as good as a direct plug in 4)built in charger
Cons: 1)because it is FM you will have some interference, just like a radio station 2)cannot adjust the volume with the Sansa scroll wheel only from the radio
For Christmas I got my wife and myself Sansa MP3 players, but my wife's car did not have a cassette player or direct plug in for an MP3. I went to a local store and paid about $76 for this same Griffin unit. I like it so much better than the cassette adapter that I had been using, when I saw it on BUY.COM I had to buy one for myself. I love not worrying about charging it up, since the all in one plug is also a charger. This is a Good Deal if you get it at BUY.COM. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Best of whats available, but not perfect Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Peoria, IL
Pros:
1) digital tuning to any FM frequency
2) 4 programmable preset frequencies
3) only one cable for power and audio
4) sound is comparable to any medium strength radio station, not cd quality but better than most other FM transmitters
Cons:
1) cannot adjust volume using the sansa scroll wheel (can only use your car stereo's volume)
2) built in equalizer is maladjusted (I had to turn down the low frequencies in my Sansa EQ to keep from having overpowered and cracking sound)
3) can only use with the Sansa player
4) frequency chooser makes you cycle through even and odd frequencies, even though odd ones are only used on most car stereos
5) hard to tell which of the 4 preset frequencies you are reprogramming (the number 1-4 flashes for only a microsecond)
6) product is touch sensitive (if you knock on the box with your finger you can hear it through the speakers!)
All in all, this is the best of the FM transmitters I've used (5 different brands). Also the most expensive. Next generation could be perfect if they work out a few of the bugs. Was this review helpful?
