I bought two of these as Christmas presents for my kids nearly 6 months ago. After months of nearly constant use, they still look and work like new. Batteries still last long. Remotes still work. Great compact, durable, portable design. Sound quality is great. Perfect for charging the iPod, even while music is playing.

Handy little speaker system for rocking out on the go at work or play. great that it charges your ipod/iphone while you listen.Nice design. Sound is not amazing but for the money it is good. It is really easy too carry with you, its a little bigger than a book.

First of all, the shipping is great. I ordered my Journi the Saturday before MLK Day, and it was at my door that Tuesday. I'm am so pleased with my Journi. I love it. I'm a teacher and I wanted speakers that would be easy to carry back and forth between home and school, that weren't too expensive to have at school, and that sounded great. I have to stress how amazingly portable this system is. When folded up it looks like a clutch, or some type of leather notebook. You can toss it in a bag or backpack, or just carry it along. It easily goes anywhere. The leather that forms both the stand and wraps around the Journi when it's all closed up is smooth, heavy, and looks great. You can charge up the Journi buy plugging it into the wall, or by hooking it up to your computer. I charged mine the evening that it arrived, have used it for three days without recharging, and the charge is still strong (there's a series of lights on the side that let you know how much of a charge is left). I am a very picky person when it comes to sound quality. When I first turned on the Journi I thought that I was going to be disappointed, but I'm not. I found that by adjusting the equalizer settings on my iPod I am able to get a sound that is clear and much larger than you would expect from such a small set up. I shopped around and listened to a lot, and I mean a lot, of other small speaker set ups, most around $100. None of them sounded as good as the Journi. If you are looking for an extremely portable speaker system that is resonably priced and sounds great, get the Journi.

I bought two Journis for my two teen daughters. Buy.com had them at my door the day after I placed the order, much quicker than promised. On Christmas, my daughters unwrapped their Journis and were very pleased. First impression: "Cool!" Great portability/durability, ease of use, good sound clarity, perfect size, and outstanding battery life. Brilliant design to have the stand fold up around the Journi for portability, protecting the ipod inside. When plugged into wall power, the Journi charges both its own battery and the ipod, so no more need for a separate ipod charger!

I purchased these speakers as a christmas gift and they have not been opened or used yet. I can't accurately assess the product at this time thus the low numbers listed above. Please recontact me after christmas for a more accurate review and I will be happy to give that to you.

I just got these and they have blown me away as portable speakers are concerned. At this price, you will not find a better comparable product. If you are looking for this kind of system, stop your search and buy these speakers! You will not regret it!
