The alarm goes off every time I take my baby out of her crib so I know its working. Have to be careful though because it will pickup vibrations from sources outside the crib. other children walking or playing in the room, washer/dryer, dishwasher... all prevent it from being a perfect product. but at night when everything is quiet I have complete confidence in it.
