I had previously purchase another undercabinet CD player that kept breaking down. So I went online in search for a better quality, without having to spend a fortune on a Sony, I found the GPX Cd player. I bought 10 for my office and they all work great! Pay a little more and enjoy a good quality CD player.

Last year I bought a very popular and more expensive Sony undercabinet radio/CD player for my wife. She was never happy with the reception of her favorite FM channel, and there was enormous static when anyone got within 5 feet of it. These problems almost certainly reflect the fact that - as with many undercabinet models - the antenna was built into the power cord, and there was nowhere to connect your own antenna.
After looking extensively on-line, the GPX was the only model I could find that had a separate FM antenna AND got even vaguely positive reviews. And in fact it has proven to have much more reliable radio reception than the Sony. The overall sound quality is not quite as good (e.g. on CDs), but if you want a serviceable undercabinet radio this is a safe bet. Has a tuning knob rather than digital, but that's a minor concerned compared to static-free reception. Was this review helpful?

After reading the reviews, I knew I wasn't getting a product with great radio reception. Once installed, the reception was a bit scratchy but still good enough to listen to, which was a bonus considering I wasn't expecting much. The other features I wanted the undercabinet product for was excellent. The CD player is functional, and we can use the ipod with the iTrip FM antenna to play through an unused digital setting on the radio's FM frequency band. Great product for the price. Installed this radio with ease in my kitchen and i suck at doing anything involving carpentry. Sounds is good for what it is and like i said it's nothing fancy but it's definetly not an eye sore by any means. Wish it had presets and the tuner knob would go to the stations a little bit easier but all and all great buy for it's value! Was this review helpful?

This under-the-counter radio\CD player is perfect for our family and house. We receive excellent reception in a highly wooded area. Our previous device could not tune in AM stations and had trouble with most FM stations. This unit delivers on both frequencies!....

We love our under cabinet radio! It's just what we needed to put music into the kitchen. The only thing you will need is a drill small enough to fit under your kitchen cabinet. Other then that, what a bargain! The sound is great and it even has a remote control! Buy this, you won't find any cheaper on Ebay, I checked. Was this review helpful?

I didn't realize the radio didn't have presets when I ordered it. Very good price. Everything works in accordance with the directions. Sound is acceptable for such small speakers. Sensitivity was good. Analog tuner with digital read-out. Mounting was easy and all needed hardware was included. Does what we need. No frills. Was this review helpful?
