Hailing from the streets of Philadelphia, PA, Jade follows in the footsteps of her homegirl Eve, but she's got a sound all her own. Unlike many of her female hip-hop contemporaries she doesn't rely on cheap sexual appeal to make her point, instead trading in hard-hitting rhymes full of visceral energy that speak much louder than any bared navel or exposed cleavage. And with the cutting-edge production of Timbaland framing those rhymes, GIRL INTERRUPTED hits the ears from a whole different direction than what most hip-hop fans are probably used to.
