In my mind this is the best deal right now for a military designed and tested survival knife. They sent it over to Iraq to get feedback before production. This is the end result.
For under $100 its tough to beat. It can often be found for under $60, which is just amazing.
So many so called survival knives these days don't take advantage of the half serrated, half straight design. I feel it is a integral part of any survival knife.
This comes with, by far, the nicest production sheath Ive ever seen. The knife fits securely without the use of the snaps. The material is top notch, as is the construction. The built in sharpener is useful, and does its job of simply providing an edge. It also comes with a belt cutter that is handy to keep in the car.
The knife is decently sharp out of the box. It has a nice feel. The grip is top notch. At a certain site that test the durability of knives, it did very well. Pretty much on par with special order knives that cost hundreds of dollars. It will chop, but the blade length is an issue. Overall though, you can do just about anything with this knife. Cut metal, split wood, etc.
My Gerber multitool has never let me down, and from the look and feel of this knife, it wont either.
