    These speakers are a little cheap on the appearance front. They have old style fabric mesh covers over the speakers, the brand name is silk screened on the side, but the performance is good. And it has three input lines (2 stereo jacks and 1 RCA input) which makes hooking up multiple sound sources a breeze. The input lines have a set priority. The Mic jack in the front will mute the other two inputs when it is plugged in. The stereo jack in back will mute the RCA inputs when it is in use. It's worth noting that the manual text does not accurately describe the setup for these speakers. It talks about a power button and it implies it's on the front, when in fact, there's a power switch on the back side and a Standby power button on the front. It's a little confusing, but not too hard to figure out.

    I ordered these set of speakers from www.buy.com to replaced my broken $100 Logitech speakers, amazingly these speakers put out better sound than my Logitech speakers and it's less than half the price. I'm very satisfy with the purchased and www.buy.com is awesome.

    This speaker set delivers pretty good sound for its price. It resembles regular small computer speakers from the old desktops with a subwoofer. Most of the sound will be produced from the two small satellites. You will normally not hear anything above a whisper from the subwoofers unless you turn the volume up. You can adjust bass, treble, and volume independently, which is very convenient. Unfortunately it is missing a separate adjustment knob for the volume of subwoofer. More than likely you will not turn the volume half way up for everyday use. For a test, I maxed the volume on my ipod (which plugs into ipod through the same input as ear plugs) and speaker. It is loud enough for an average party in the house. (Trust me, you can feel the music.) If there is any problem with this speaker is that when the music is not playing and you have volume turned up and ipod is plugged in, every once a while you will hear static. The problem is easily solved by turning the speaker off or unplugging the ipod. [YES, it work for ipod and any MP3] So far, I love it. I never want to go back to listening to music without it.
