For those of you who want an alternative, Genius is now offering the SP-i200U portable digital speaker series in a black finish. The SP-i200U retains the same functions as the original SP-i200U (in white) and is available now. Genius SP-i200U is a slim, portable USB speaker with a foldable stand for mobile professionals. Two specially designed full-range neodymium micro drivers inside the aluminum cones deliver pure, digital sound better than general laptop speakers. Installation is easy; just plug and play your favorite songs, watch a movie, or make a private multimedia presentation. No power supply is required with the USB-powered connector. Its easy to carry; the integrated cord-wrap cable fits in the body and a pouch is included for your travels.

I bought this product as my laptop speakers are not good enough to listen to songs with the volume I require. This one is simple to setup, no external AC power required, gives enough volume to listen to songs. Not too loud but that's not my expectation.

I'm a little hard of hearing so the extra volume comes in handy. Easy to attach to my laptop, and to adjust the volume. This is a nice product. Wish there were a way to mount above my laptop but maybe a little velcro.... Glad I purchased it.

I just received this speaker set yesterday. Though the appearance of the device is not catchy to the eyes, the output is gives is good enuf. Though the sound quality is not that great when played at the maximum volume but it gives you a stereo effect with a USB input. Would have been great if the cable length is longer than what it comes up with and also if it could have been mounted on the screen.

I bought these little portable speakers for my laptop because the internal speakers went out. They replaced the speakers and perfomed excellently. Easy to use, with quick USB plug-in, makes them fast to set up and very portable. They come with a handy little tote bag to protect them while in transport. The sound is actually quite pleasing for such small speakers. Very glad that I took the chance and bought them.
