4 of 5 Simple, efficient system Wednesday, May 07, 2008 L.A.Smith from Indianapolis
I bought this $29 phone-answering system to replace a $120 Uniden set. The Uniden failed just over one year after buying it. While this G.E. set doesn't have as many bells and whistles; it is easy to use. I have another inexpensive G.E. phone that has never caused me any problems. So for value, this system cannot be beat. I hope it will be like my other G.E. phone and cause me no problems. Even if it does, a $29 loss is not as big of a deal as a $120 loss. Was this review helpful?
2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Nice basic unit Sunday, December 16, 2007 A Customer from Brooklyn, NY
We purchased this combination unit to replace an older cordless phone and separate answering machine. As a single unit, it has less wires and is compact in a one piece unit.
All the basic functions work fine. We have only one minor issue. The unit has to be picked up and then you press the "Talk" button. On our old unit, you picked up the phone and just started talking. When you have older habits it takes a while to remember that the new unit works a bit differently. Was this review helpful?
