Bought this three phone set as a house warming gift and I set up for them. The three phones are linked out of the box, which is very nice. But it took me a while to read the install guide to set up the ring tone and answering machine. The intercon feature is needed and very nice since it's a big house. The handset plastic has very good feeling and good quality. Oh, and it operate in 5.8GHz so it will not interfer with the 2.4GHz wireless network. This was one of the reason I choose it.

This phone system has been in use for a couple of weeks and has performed very well. The set up was very easy and quick. I like how clear each phone sounds and the separate ring sounds for each. The recorder does a great job and is just as clear as a Bell. The sale price at purchase time was, I thought, a good buy, but soon found the same locally for less. I still like the convenience of Buy.Com, and will continue to shop here.

to me, not having to associate additional handsets to base is important, they are already associated to the base from the factory. the last phone i had the handsets would dissociate if unplugged or the power went out, it became harder each time for them to reassociate until they stopped altogether...that said, this phone has tons of features, multiple ring tones can be set...so far so good, owned for 2 weeks at time of writing
