4 of 5 Great-looking phone Wednesday, February 14, 2007
Christina from Hillsdale, MI

Overall, a really decent phone. I bought it 1) because of the DECT 6.0 technology, which supposedly is interference-free. I'm worried about security over cordless phones, in general, so this was appealing to me, and 2) because of the aesthetics of it. Very sleek. It also has a lot of great features. I love the fact that you can check messages from any of the handsets. I like the fact that there is a "Do not disturb" button on the main unit to turn the ringer off; however, it would have been more convenient to put that capability on all of the handsets...maybe there is and I don't know about it. The set-up of the answering machine is very easy and straight-forward. It doesn't beep continuously when there's a new message---which I find to be excellent!!!!! The handset is a bit small. I have trouble cradling it between my shoulder and head, but I guess that's what a headset is for (don't have one yet). I had some trouble in the beginning adjusting to the fact that the caller ID is not on the base b/c our old phone had that feature, but once I got the hang of picking up the phone to see who was calling, it was no longer a problem for me. Just a matter of taste and convenience, I guess. I'm really not sure yet about the sound quality. My husband hasn't found a problem with it, but I've had quite a bit of static; however, I must reveal that our base is only several feet away from the computer. That could be the source of the problem. I'll have to do some experimenting w/ the placement of it.
