The phone and answering machine work just fine, but are not very user friendly. If you push the "delete" button a second too late, you will delete the following message (which you haven't heard yet) instead of the one that just finished playing. The phone ring cannot be changed, and is a bit annoying (to me, granted this is subjective). Also, I cannot figure out how to raise the volume on the handset while I'm on a call (some callers speak more softly than others). On the plus side, reception in the house quite far from the base unit has been excellent, and I have had no interference from my wireless network or baby monitor.

I ordered this phone because I needed a small cordless phone with answering machine to replace a corded wall phone in my kitchen. Every other cordless phone with answerer I have seen is designed to sit on a counter and they look strange sticking out when mounted on the wall. They are usually very wide. This phone fit the space beautifully. It is only 6" wide, is designed to be flat against the wall and it is attractive. It also has a speaker mode, which I find very useful while on hold with tech support, Cablevision or insurance companies. The phone book memory stores a lot of numbers (much more than the usual 10), and the numbers are accessed by the name you assign much like on a cell phone. Unfortunately, the phone has the nasty habit of going dead during calls. I can still hear the other party talking, but they can't hear me. This happens only occasionally, at random times during the call (sometimes even when I first answer the phone). I don't have the patience to return the phone on the warranty; I just will live with it since it works generally well otherwise. It has great range - I can use the handset anywhere in the basement or second story of the house (the base is on the main floor near the back of the house).

Decent phone, seems to work well. I especially love the big caller ID display on the base unit. Only a couple downsides. 1. I was disappointed that it actually wasn't stainless steel only a gray paint. 2. There is only one ring tone and you can only change the volume of it. Price was right at $45 with free shipping.

I love the stainless steel look of this phone--fits right in with my stainless steel appliances. It's a great phone and I got it at a great price from Buy.com--and free shipping. Phone works great and is very easy to set up. You don't even have to set the time and date. When a call comes in from a phone that has time and date built in--most phones nowadays--this phone captures that data and updates itself to the correct time and date. It's awesome! All phone functions work very well. I like the visual indication the answer machine gives you when you have a message rather than an audible indicator. I just hate the incessant beeping you have to endure until you take action on a message when you have an audible beep. No such problem with a visual indicator--but you do have to look at the base phone to see if any messages have come in during your absence. The sound quality is excellent and I love the new DECT 6 interference free frequency that eliminates interference from microwaves, tvs and other appliances that could otherwise produce phone interference. Call waiting, caller ID, etc are all available and work very well. Obviously I love the phone. My only complaint--and it's a minor one--is that the direction manual could be better written. Someday I'm going to write to China and tell them I could write a better manual than they can.

Great looking phone...the "stainless" coating stays on...unlike other phones where the paint wears off where you use it...the keypad is flat and super easy to clean...no buttons to collect dirt...the message machine is clear and super easy to use...the clarity is good...it sits flat on the wall and the handset doesn't fall off. You can also get a satellite phone and that phone doesn't have to be plugged into a phone jack...which is nice because you can put it anywhere you have an electrical outlet. I would definitely buy this again and recommend it to my friends. I get a lot of compliments on it!

The phone was purchased from Buy.com and was the best price found on the net. The phone itself is okay, The phone programming is a bit more involved than I like. Basically all settings are programmed into the handset then transferred to the base station/message recorder. It is a decent phone set for the price paid. It was the only wall mountable phone that I could locate that had the features we needed, caller ID, and Messages with extendable units. (What happened to all the wall mountable portable phones of a few years ago) It was not overpriced and it works with no interference from my wireless router or other phones. I also purchased one handset that works equally well this phone system.
