Sleek and wide, nuvi 750 leads the way with advanced navigation features, a colorful widescreen display, preloaded maps, an FM transmitter, a travel kit and more. Like the rest of the wide nuvi 700-series, its premium navigation capabilities, like route planning and a handy locator, give you peace of mind on the go.

With nuvi 750's widescreen display, you'll always get the big picture. View map detail, driving directions, photos and more in bright, brilliant color. Its sunlight-readable, 4.3-inch display is easy to read — from any direction.

Navigate With Ease

nuvi 750 comes ready to go right out of the box with preloaded City Navigator® NT street maps and millions of points of interest (POIs) such as hotels, restaurants, fuel stations, ATMs and more. Simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, and nuvi takes you there with 2D or 3D maps and turn-by-turn voice directions. It even announces the name of exits and streets so you never have to take your eyes off the road. In addition, nuvi 750 accepts custom points of interest, such as school zones and safety cameras and lets you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs. The European version even includes a preloaded safety camera database containing locations of cameras for parts of Europe.

Where Am I?

Keep track of yourself and your car with nuvi 750. Just tap "Where Am I?" to find the closest hospitals, police stations, fuel stations, nearest address and intersection. Also see your exact latitude and longitude coordinates. nuvi 750 even remembers where you parked. It automatically marks your position when you remove it from the windshield mount, so you can navigate with nuvi on foot and find your way back to your vehicle. Perfect for unfamiliar spots and crowded lots such as amusement parks, stadiums and malls.

Plan Ahead

nuvi 750 includes advanced navigational features to take the worry out of traveling. With route planning you can save 10 routes, specify via points and preview simulated turns on the 750's wide screen. In addition, nuvi 750 automatically sorts multiple destinations to provide an efficient route for errands, deliveries or sales calls. It also displays speed limits for highways and Interstates. A trip log provides an electronic bread crumb trail of up to 10,000 points, so you can see where you've been on the map.

Take It With You

nuvi 750's high-sensitivity internal (non flip-up) antenna gives it a sleeker, thinner design than the nuvi 600-series, making it easy to slip in your pocket or purse. Its rechargeable lithium-ion battery makes it convenient for navigation by car or on foot.

Go Beyond Navigation

Navigation is just the beginning. nuvi 750 includes many “must have” entertainment and travel tools including MP3 player, audio book player (subscription to Audible.com required), JPEG picture viewer, currency converters and more. With nuvi 750's wireless FM transmitter¹ you can hear audio, including voice prompts, MP3s and audio books, through your vehicle's stereo. It also comes with optional FM traffic alerts, optional MSN® Direct, Garmin Lock™ (an anti-theft feature) and configurable vehicle icons that let you select car-shaped graphics to show your location on the map. Optional plug-in SD cards let you add additional features to enhance your travel experience including language translation and detailed travel guides. Our SaversGuide® provides information on nearby merchants offering discounts to customize your nuvi whether you’re traveling or close to home.

5 of 5 Reliable and Fast Friday, October 02, 2009
A Customer from Lincoln, RI

Purchased two of these units, one for an older family member, one for my significant other. Both with limited electronics experience. In both cases, the units are receiving amazing praise for the ease of use, ease of navigation and complete guesswork elimination. Used the units personally to compare against the built-in unit I have in my Acura. Side-by-side, the device holds up very well, with announced street names, quick re-routing. Overall, 5 stars. Excellent and reliable. Nothing to add or take away. Just a solid device.

5 of 5 Great device at a great price Sunday, April 26, 2009
A Customer from Farmington Hills, MI
Pros: Picks up GPS more quickly than previous devices I have owned. Easy to see screen. Mounts nicely on dash. Can play music and audio books through the car speakers wirelessly using the FM transmitter. Great value for the price. Cons: No replaceable battery once the lithium ion battery is used up (probably will last about two years). This issue is common with most GPS units. In that case, the device can only be used when plugged in.

4 of 5 Great unit Monday, April 20, 2009
A Customer from ohio
Love the unit. Better than my old MIO. Some small things but no unit is perfect yet.....that is the reason for the 4 star rating. For the money though, it is the best I have used.

5 of 5 A Must Have Sunday, April 19, 2009
A Customer from Holly Lake Ranch, TX
Very happy with the Garmon Nuvi 750. It is rated #1 by Consumer Reports. Easy to use. Only complaint is Garmin does not include any kind of carrying case for the unit. Be sure and buy one to protect your investment. A wonderful aid in finding practically any and everything. It arrived very quickly.

5 of 5 Nuvi 750 Friday, April 17, 2009
RandyM from Mammoth Spring, AR
This is my first GPS unit and it does what I'd hoped it would . I had to download new maps when I first got it but they were free. It tells me where I am now and how to get to where I'm going. I'm very satisfied with it.

5 of 5 Great Buy Wednesday, April 15, 2009
Ben White from Fort Worth, Texas
I ordered my GPS standard shipment and it arrived in two days! Wonderful service, Great interaction with buy.com. Although this is a discontinued unit, Garmin does provide support for the life of the 550 GPS. Wonderful! I uploaded a map update with the help of Garmin staff member. It was most enlighting. (Use rear usb port on your computer, front port would not download) Only slight hitch was could not use FM wireless without a lot of static, but internal speaker on GPS is very good. Overall a very good unit.

4 of 5 Nuvi 750 from Buy.com is a great choice! Tuesday, April 14, 2009
A Customer from Chilton, WI
I decided upon the Nuvi 750 because it has the MP3 player which allowed me to listen to my music and not have to worry about missing directions due to the garmin not being loud enough. The FM transmitter worked ok once, but then I found most of the FM channels are used so I fixed this problem using the aux jack on my stereo and the headphone jack on the Gramin. The one complaint I do have about the garmin is the long start up time I see. It does not matter if I turn it on where I last turned it off or not. It still takes a while to boot up and acquire it's position. However this is not too big of a deal. I once had the unit giving me directions one full turn ahead of where I was. It would tell me to turn on #3 and I was still on #2. I realized this was incorrect by looking at the map and following the indicated path. So I turned the unit off and on and then it was ok. I am sure I was running through the settings while it was doing something, and this must have threw it off. I also have my unit set on shortest time, and in this setting it can and will take you down a gravel road/alley. As for Buy.com I am pleased with their prompt service, I recieved the unit sooner than I thought I was going to. Overall I am happy with my Garmin 750 and I would recommend getting it from Buy.com.

5 of 5 For the money, this GPS can't be beat! Tuesday, April 14, 2009
A Customer from Miami, FL
We use several of the features included with this very capable GPS but our favorite, by far, is the route planner. Being a real estate agent, I'm constantly driving all over the place to several homes a day and this GPS allows you to enter in the street addresses of all your destinations for the day and then optimizes your route based on time or mileage. It also records the total miles traveled and total time for the trip. VERY NICE!

5 of 5 Best bang for the buck! Monday, April 13, 2009
Lew from Farmtown, MN
This is the sort of device for which there are countless models and they are all revamped annually giving you a lot of choices between great deals on last year's models or buying the new model. Either way you are getting a new unit with a new warranty with the same maps...so why spend so much more for the new model? I wasn't really in the market for a new GPS as I was quite happy taking care of my GPS needs with my cell phone and PDA. Since I didn't really need my PDA much and wanting a bigger screen than my cell phone, I reconsidered my purchase. Like with most purchases, I consulted Consumer Reports. This models big brother, the 8XX was top rated, and the 7XX was second rated at a much lower price. When they put these last year top rated models on sale, I couldn't help but snap one up. This 750 has all the functions I need and more. If you want to learn about loading your own POI's, you have access to all the additional information that can be added and stored on the SD. Quite frankly, the built-in POI list is funky on all brands of GPS's...They can't be counted on for being either complete or current. Don't forget to use the opportunity to download and upload to your GPS the lastest map version. So even if your GPS doesn't have the latest map, it is a free upgrade when you register.

5 of 5 nuvi 750 GPS Monday, April 13, 2009
Les from ZEPHYRHILLS, FL
It was very easy to get started. In order to register on line I was asked to connect it to my computer. It upgraded the software and registered it and after that I could down/load the new 2009 map for free. All together it took around 3 hours depending on your broadband connection. It is an excellent buy and easy to use.

5 of 5 Worth every penny Monday, April 13, 2009
Ed D from Milford, Pa
Ok I pushed off buying one of these units for a few years. Because I fell everything gets better after the idea is introduced. My family has the luxury of all summer off and with 4 kids we hop in the RV and take off for adventures. This year is our biggest of 6,000 mile across the USA. It was time to get one. I went with Garvin 750 because of the reputation.I just got it in April so I have plenty of time to play with it. I am now loading into the unit to see every campground I have planned to stay at. I did my research through Trailer life rating system for best places to stay and pre mapped the trip before I got the 750. I am now loading lodging stops in by searching each city for the campgrounds. Once I figured out the best way and lock them down in order for most of the trip. So far so good. Then you can go to each city and pre plan attactions which is cool to. I must be up to 15 stops and its takign them all in as stop points along the entire planned trip. So I know it will do what I spent hours with maps doing in a snap. But we only travel no more then 250 a day so I needed to pre plan places are nice to know where to plan a stop. I have been using it for local trips and its so easy to get to where to are going. I did find in a rural area for which I live takes me on routes that are dead ends on dirt roads, but we live in rural areas that may have at one time lead to main roads that they turned into dead ends. Normally on main established roads I dont run into this. I hope thats the case to turn a RV around in a small area would suck. But I think knowing rural areas and not main roads have made me aware to use common sense out in rural areas. Now for the extra features the 750 gives me. The MP3 PLAYER. love this feature. I have a 4 gig card which I will probally will up grade to a 16 gig before the trip and load every song I can between myself and the kids so we can all use it in the Van and the RV radio system. Now when not using the GPS its my music for the road. The FM receiver TRANSMITS the music to the vans FM. When parked at the campground it will transmit to the Rv fm radio. 16 gig is a lot of tunes to carry along all the time. To me this mp3 feature is worth the cost of the unit. Of course when playing with it all you find cool things. When the unit is broadcasting me music via the FM to the Van radio and needs to tell me direction changes it will pause the music and give the direction then resume. It you dont have the GPS set for a trip the MP3 player just broadcasts music like a big jukebox. You can also download pictures to the slide show. So you can all at the same time listen to music, have pictures flipping on the screen, and the Gps pausing and telling you where to go. Ok some people can care less of these features but its fun on long trips for the kids to look at themselves from past vacations. I actually used it resently to load pictures of work I have done to show clients rather then printing it out.So if you use your imagination its a handy unit for different things. Finally, 1 cool feature thats fun for the kids. I went to the Garvin site and downloaded new car cartoon figures and also different voices to navigate you. I like the Aussie female voice. Love the accent she places. I downloaded some scary cartoon voice to go with the cartoon figure for the kids.So its a family thing.

5 of 5 Having GPS is wonderful Monday, April 13, 2009
Steve from Granite City, IL
I've researched GPS systems and found Garmin as the best bet. Finding the 750 at this price was wonderful. The only problem with it is that the integrated FM transmitter isn't strong enough to reach my car antenna which is in the back window regardless of frequency used without lots of static. Garmin's support site is great. Fast response to e-mailed questions.

5 of 5 You can hear the difference... Friday, March 20, 2009
Drew M. from Titus, AL
This is just what the Doc ordered. I have a hearing problem, and can't hear the normal speaker even at full volume. Being able to listen to this through my stereo makes all the difference in the world. I upgraded from a nuvi 650 just for that reason and boy is it worth it.

5 of 5 Great navigation system for the money! Saturday, February 21, 2009
D.K. from Clearwater, FL
This is a great unit with many features that come in very handy on road trips. The spoken turn by turn directions are excellent and easy to understand. Additionally, Garmin.com allows you to download other voices and vehicle characters for a little fun. Navigation is spot on and easy to adjust for traffic. Looking for a place to eat, select restaurants and in seconds you have many choices to choose from and the directions to get there. I really enjoy this system and will for many years.

5 of 5 It is just what my husband and I wanted Sunday, January 18, 2009
Linda from St. Clair Missouri
We really enjoy the unit. It has everything that it says it has to offer. It also has the car charger with it. We looked at several different stores to see if we could find one local at a lower price but they could not beat the great price we paid at buy.com. I would recommend to anyone that this is the place to buy one. Go to the store so that you can see which one you want then buy it here. It's as simple as that. We love the big screen and that it talks you thru every step.

5 of 5 first GPS I have owned Sunday, June 22, 2008
Patrick from Frederick, MD
This was my first GPR unit and I wasn't sure what to expect. But this unit exceeded any expectations. Very detailed maps and gives you several options. Up to date and fast to respond to deviations from the given directions. Very good unit for the price. Plays music and pictures, but I don't use these features. tells you when to turn and how far you are from major intersections. would highly recommend.

5 of 5 One of the Best Portable GPS Units Available Saturday, May 31, 2008
Vincenzo from Houston
I purchased this 4 months ago after seeing it here for a very competitive price. Garmin is a respected name in the GPS industry and this particular model is always ranked near the top by professional reviewers. It was an impulse buy, but it turned out to be very useful. It's nice to head out of town without printing out pages of maps, hotel locations, etc. The processor is quick, it's small, and the interface is intuitive. The only complaints I have are: The internal speaker is really weak compared to others I've heard. I have to keep the radio off if I want to hear the voice directions. I've noticed there are many invalid or old points of interest. I don't know if the blame can be put on Garmin, but it's annoying to drive an extended distance to find the place doesn't exist. It took up to 5 minutes to find satellites when I first purchased it. A firmware update fixed this to where it now locks on within seconds.

5 of 5 Great for newer vehicles Wednesday, May 14, 2008
Bart from Davenport, Iowa
I travel extensively for work, with a mix of air then rental car and driving from home. This unit is great for setting up your travel as you can set up multiple routes. GPS units are only as good as the Maptec Maps so it's hard to blame any missing streets or addresses on Garmin. I recommend a reality check with any internet map website if your setting up a route ahead of time. This unit was great for me as I drive a '08 Dodge Charger which already has Bluetooth and MP3 player connectivity, so it was nice to not pay extra for those features. The POI's database is nice, and you can build a route on the fly by adding a POI. I was headed home from Chicago when my low gas light game on, found a nearby gas station in the POI database and when I pushed the go button, the unit asked if I wanted to add it to the current route or change the destination. As a frequent traveler, my favorite feature is the estimated time of arrival. I hit the "Go Home" button and within 10 minutes or so, it's accurate. However, don't trust the ETA without checking or knowing the traffic situation. My only complaint was that I went with the 750 because of the ability to add custom POI's, however you need to have pretty good programming skills or pay one of 2 websites to setup your personal POI's. Overall this is an excellent unit at an excellent price. Shipped to me, it beat the local American electronics store price on the 260W. Thanks again Buy.com!

5 of 5 Great Garmin Nuvi 750 - Fabulous! Monday, May 12, 2008
luvdispinay06 from LONG BEACH, CA
I would say that I am the type of person who constantly get lost on the freeway if I miss the exit. But since I've my little buddy now, this fabulous piece of equipment really works like magic. It really amazed me how this Garmin lead me the way where ever I go! Now I don't panic if I missed my exits or point of my destinations as I've this fantastic Nuvi Garmin do all the works for me. Very easy to use! It's worth to buy if you really as dumb as I am in terms of geography.

5 of 5 Exceeded all expectations Monday, May 12, 2008
Allen from Whistler, BC
This car-mountable, hand-held GPS has exceeded my fondest hopes. I have used it in multiple cities (including Honolulu); found it gave me a more accurate best route home in Whistler BC than Google; and am enormously impressed with its flexibility (e.g. distinguishing between best pedestrian and auto routes) and all-around usefulness (e.g. marking my car location and bringing me back to it). Only annoyance is limited volume control.

5 of 5 Goodies Galore Monday, May 05, 2008
Jeff G from Bluffton, SC
I bought this to replace a Nuvi 660 that was stolen. Performance is virtually identical (that is a GOOD thing). New features include routing and "Where am I?" I use this unit in an RV and have downloaded about 25 databases of POI (points of interest) that are available for FREE on the net. I can find Wal-marts, Camping Worlds, Starbucks, and the restaurants featured in "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives". I didn't need the Bluetooth available in the Nuvi 760. Great unit!

4 of 5 Almost too easy Saturday, April 26, 2008
Kevin from Longmont, CO
Very easy to setup and use. The routing has tended to take me in directions that are contrary to how I might normally travel, but it recalculates very quickly and picks up the path I would normally take pretty easily. Before choosing this unit from the wide variety of units - even just in the nuvi line - I really struggled with trying to figure out the features that made the most sense for me, and in the end I'm pleased with the features of the 750. This is a good unit that will serve me well as I continue traveling around the country.

5 of 5 The 750 Nuvi met all expectations as my second Gar Wednesday, April 09, 2008
Walt from Titusville, FL
I am thoroughly pleased with the Garmin Nuvi 750 GPS. I have had very good reception and audio turn directions that include the street names make this unit worth the price since I don't have to look at the screen for street verification. I am also very pleased with the unit's size which allows it to easily fit into a shirt pocket when departing my vehicle.

I bought this one for the route capabilities. Once you get down how to structure your routes, it works fantastic. Have had a few addresses that would not pull up, but in the GPS's defense they wouldn't pull up on any of my other map software either. I resisted buying one for years, now I wished I would have bought one years ago. The 750 is packed with tons of useful features and has become an integral part of my job. When you type in an address, it will estimate your ETA and I am amazed I get there to the minute. If you drive for a living or like to travel, the Nuvi 750 is an absolute must have.

5 of 5 My nuvi Shines Sunday, March 30, 2008
A Customer from Massachusetts
I found the Garmin nuvi 750 to be easy to use. Downloading from the Garmin site was simple and fast. Uploading to the nuvi just as easy. The only issue I have is in accuracy. Some destinations are not where the GPS indicated. It'll bring you close, but you will have to look around for your target. It did take me on a longer roundabout route to one destination. This was somewhat disappointing, but not a big issue. I recomend this product.

4 of 5 Excellent buy but some maps not current Sunday, March 30, 2008
tlwashburn from Northville, Michigan
The Garmin Nuvi 750 is an excellent buy compared to several other models at similar prices. It is feature rich and extremely easy to use. I love the graphics which are easy to view and colorful during the day and night time driving. The announcement of streets and even speaking the custom marked waypoints is excellent. The response time is super fast as you make turns. The only drawback I have found is that the maps are not totally up to date. For example, some street addresses are none existent even though they have been there for years (rural small towns). Also I have found a couple of errors where the destination changed after keying in what you want and starting to navigate. I am sure software fixes will be coming for this and undoubtedly new mapping software. Compared to my old Garmin GPS V, the Nuvi 750 is far superior in road navigation. I was blown away with extra features like foreign currency conversion, foreign language conversion and playing MP3 music from an SD memory card.

5 of 5 Impressive GPS Unit , reasonable price Thursday, March 27, 2008
A Customer from Pittsburgh,PA
I bought the Nuvi 750 last week and it is impressive. I have been testing it for several days and it recognizes lanes and alleys as well as all the major roads. It even recognizes roads inside industrial plants which took me by surprise. The real bonus with the 700 series and above is that you can preprogram up to 10 routes. This allows you to take the unit to your office, find the addresses or locations to be visited on a trip and load them all in at once. Otherwise you have to input each route at the time of use, which is not always convenient. The recent use folder allows you to get around this for common trips, but out of town trips are where you really need the help. It also has traffic tie-up and re-rout capability and all the other goodies. The touch screen works very well and the lock function is very practical. I love it.

5 of 5 The Top line Nuvi 700 series is here Friday, February 15, 2008
Customer from IL
This is the best topline nuvi 700 series...slick stylish..i have received the black glossy finish nuvi 750. It's sleek as you don't need to flap up the antenna like you need to do in nuvi600 series. It has FM Transmitter so if you are complaining that you cannot hear loud sound from this nuvi then i will suggest you to transmit the voice sound of your nuvi to your car speaker via inbuild FM transmitter of Nuvi750..this way sound can reach the car running next to you ...(i do not like so much of noise) I am happy with the sound of nuvi750 and it's really loud ..don't know why guys are complaining about it. Multiple routing - Great idea ...if you have gone on travel trip and want to see multiple destination in one go.. The only drawback which i see is ...it doesn't have bluetooth. I don't care ..as i have bluetooth headphone and i hardly use it as well.

4 of 5 Overall, a nice unit Wednesday, February 13, 2008
Ed from Mounds View, MN
There are few shortcomings with the 750. For starters, it's only as good as its maps and both the maps and the points of interest appear to be old. Some POIs that should exist don't, and some that don't exist anymore do.
I strongly suggest that people file map and POI update requests directly to NAVTEQ at http://mapreporter.navteq.com so that these maps get better.
Other than the mapping issues, I have found that the volume is not really load enough when it's in the vehicle but is *way* too loud when it's out of the car on battery power. It would have been nice to see individually selectable volume settings for when it's on 12v power vs battery.
