5 of 5 NUVI GPS Great Value Thursday, July 09, 2009
Ross from Plymouth, MA

This GPS works great, is easy to use, and has updated maps! I also have a Magellan 4100 with the 4.3" screen and was surprised that I like the Garmin with the smaller screen better.

5 of 5 No issues at all, very happy Thursday, June 25, 2009
A Customer from McKinney,TX
No issues at all, very happy. This GPS is very easy to use and I have had no problems with the product. I had to update the maps after receiving it, but it does find most roads, etc. I love the ETA feature and how it tracks your trip time, etc.

5 of 5 Good value GPS Monday, June 08, 2009
A Customer from MA
Easy to set up and works great! Didn't need to look at the directions. I have another GPS with the 4.3 inch screen and was worried about the smaller screen size but the 3.5 inch screen is fine.

5 of 5 great product for great price ! Tuesday, May 12, 2009
john_a from Des Plaines, IL
I am 100% satisfied with the product and with this transaction. Great value for your money. I upgraded from a C330 to this product. Main function I was thrilled with was the Text-to-Speech. I was also happy to find out that the product was pre-installed with the latest Garmin Map Update. Overall, Great Buy!

5 of 5 Small Wish-List For This Garmin Tuesday, April 28, 2009
A friend from Pittsburgh, PA
1. I wish it booted faster (not big deal)** 2. I wish that it acquired satellites faster (not a big deal, once it's hooked up, it calculates routes VERY quickly).** 3. I wish it came with a cable to connect it to your PC.** 4. I wish that it had hardware volume buttons. (Buttons that weren't part of the touch screen.).** 5. I wish that it was louder. It's pretty loud, it's just that I usually have music playing in the car and sometimes my music is pretty loud...** 6. I wish that it beeped before it is said something. My Garmin C330 had an alert tone that you could turn on or off before the GPS spoke. (maybe it's in there and I just haven't found it). +++++++ THAT BEING SAID, this Garmin is an AWESOME VALUE!! It's my second "refurbished" Garmin (both still work GREAT!) and would recommend it to anyone. Text-to-speech (speaking the street names) is a great thing you'll find if you've used a GPS without that feature. BUY IT!!! Stash it in your glove box... You need it... You want it... No, really... You NEED this thing...

5 of 5 Smarter than me Tuesday, April 21, 2009
A Customer from Lake Forest, CA
Received it really fast, but then again i live in the next city over. At first I thought that it was crazy, but then I decided to do what it says...and it took me through a very fun little short cut on my way to San Luis Obispo!

4 of 5 Pro: Great Deal / Con: Want a man's voice Tuesday, April 21, 2009
luvlucy from glendale, ca
This is my first GPS unit and I was overwhelmed with all the options out there. However, I knew that I wanted a GPS unit that spoke street names so that narrowed down my search to this unit. Refurbished was the way to go for me and for those of you who don't have a lot of money to spend. It arrives just like new, sealed and everything. This unit keeps its charge and doesn't have to be plugged in to work, which is good because my car plug is already being used by my iPod. The window mount included works great, attached to the windshield of my car. The only CON I have with this unit is that I wish it came with a guy's voice directing me in English (love me some British male accents!!). The only choices for English are by female voices. It would have been nice (at least, one time in life) to have a guy's voice actually telling me the correct directions.

5 of 5 Great product! Great Price! Monday, April 20, 2009
Eddie from Cleveland, OH
Garmin has a policy allowing a new purchaser one map update within 60 days of purchase. The update worked well, and my first long trip was relatively uneventful - thank God! Satellite acquisition was very fast and directions were clear and intelligible most of the time. I found gauging proximity to turns a little awkward due to the small screen size, and not all the places I planned to visit were in the database. The touch screen was not overly sensitive, predicted time of arrival was pretty good, and sound volume and quality was good. One big plus not often touted is the extreme portability of this model. It may not be ultra thin, but its size allows it to be dropped into a shirt pocket unobtrusively. Doing so will necessitate using the "lock" feature to prevent strange voices intruding on your conversations! I was specifically shopping for a GPS. I was not looking for an MP3 player, a photo frame, or a phone speaker (though that would have been nice!). If these features are important to you, this dedicated GPS unit is not for you. The menu was slightly less intuitive than I had expected (that's why I gave it a 4) and more than once I took the wrong exit because the map seemed to indicate a turn before it was supposed to (another 4). But on the plus side, it redirects within seconds. It's warm-up time is very brief, and the antenna is sensitive. I found that the 260 met my needs perfectly. There is no noticeable difference between the reconditioned and "brand new" units, except for the packaging. It's a great product, and well priced compared to the competition.

5 of 5 Great Buy Monday, April 13, 2009
kml1952 from chesterfield, MI
Excellent GPS for $100. Easy to use with just all the features you really need. Had to return 1st Nuvi 260 Buy.com sent due to a bad USB connector. Exchange was hassle free. Notice the mapping was 2008 version. Called Garmin Support and got the lastest 2010 Map update free.

5 of 5 Great Product! Great Value Saturday, April 11, 2009
Tresgeek from Wichita, KS
I owned a Nuvi 250W briefly before it disappeared (ouch!). When I saw this deal on the refurb Nuvi 260 I bought 2, 1 for my wife. Haven't missed the widescreen at all, and love the text-to-speech. These are very portable, so watch where you put them!

5 of 5 Great Product for a good price Tuesday, April 07, 2009
A Customer from Pacolet, SC
I received my refurb nuvi and was very satisfied with the order. I received it within 3 days of purchase and the product came out of the box ready to go. After acquiring the satelites and registering the product, it worked great. I like the thin-ness and compactness of the unit. The only negative is it doesn't come with a computer attachment (usb cable). Luckily, I have a different nuvi and the cable was compatible. Otherwise, I would have had to buy the PC hookup.

4 of 5 Garmin 260 Great Pocket Nav Unit Friday, March 20, 2009
Bob from Allentown PA
Bought the refirb unit through Buy.com. Was delivered in 2 days and it worked fine out of the box. Loads of Power packed in a pocket sized nav unit. I have built in in both of my cars, but wanted a small basic unit for traveling and car rental. Also wanted the pedestrian feature. The Garmin 260 did not disappoint. On a recent trip to the Orlando area it got me where I want to go with good routing. At one point it was smarter than I thought. It would not allow me to route onto interstates. Was always taking me on local roads etc. Seemed odd, until I saw that I had inadvertently activated the "Pedestrian" mode. It did not want me walking I4. A couple of minor draw backs --- the voice is very annoying --- the trip status display is too cluttered -- and the download process for software and maps take a long time. Overall directions were good, had needed POIs and is a great value. I don't need a built in for my next car!

4 of 5 Short on frills but strong on basics Wednesday, March 18, 2009
A Customer from Boston, MA
Wanted a $100 or less GPS unit which speaks out street names and this was one of the few that fit the bill. Arrived within two days looking and working like new. Maps were 2009 - another plus. Have only used it around town so far but seek and calculate times are good, the voice function works well enough, and the routes are reasonable. I don't have much experience with other units but this one gets the job done for a very good price, and the maps that come with it are up to date. Points of interest database is up to date and thorough as well (for our area at least). Very happy so far.

4 of 5 Good Starter GPS Thursday, March 05, 2009
Sonya from Michigan
This is my second GPS unit. The first one I own in a Garmin NUVI 350. This Garmin is a great starter GPS for someone that wants a GPS that speaks street names and not spend over $100. Having a unit that speaks street names is worth the extra money, so I can just listen to street names, instead of looking at the display for the uncoming street. I bought the refurbished and so far the unit works great. The only con I can think of is that menu graphics are not nearly as crisp as my 350 and this GPS does not come with a wall charger or a USB cable. Luckily my 350 cables fit the 260. The maps are for 2009, which is great. I am having a difficult time registering this unit at Garmin (I get a message indicating that the unit is already registered) - I have an email sent to Garmin regarding registering this GPS. Even though warranty information was not listed on Buy.com's Garmin 260 listing, the limited warranty on this unit is 1 year makes this a super deal.

5 of 5 Garmin 260 is Great! Thursday, March 05, 2009

5 of 5 Affordable Navigation Sunday, February 22, 2009
Jon from Stamford Connecticut
I was replacing a 3+ year-old off brand, outdated map unit. The Nuvi is slim and comes with the usual accesories. I used my own miniUSB cable to register and update the firmware. It looks like my maps are current within the past year or so. Garmin sells updated map software for 70 bucks which seems hardly worth it as in a few years you could be a newer, better unit fof not much more. I just returned from Phoenix and travelled many "new" roads and I had only one minor navigation issue. I think this unit is perfect for someone that is looking for basic unit that does everything the fancy units does with the exception of bluetooth.

5 of 5 Garmin Nuvi 260 Saturday, February 21, 2009
A Customer from South Carolina
I purchased this unit because I needed a second GPS. I know from previous experience how easy it is to upgrade the firmware and maps with Garmin. If you want a good GPS that works right out of the box this Garmin Nuvi 260 is the one to buy.

5 of 5 Extremely satisfied Nuvi 260 Tuesday, February 17, 2009
Barry from Independence MO
Made this purchase as a gift for my wife, is our first GPS. The unit is very easy to use and extremely simple to set up. Has worked in every instance she has used it across two states, sometimes seems slow to recalculate directions. We have not had any long distance travel yet. Refurb unit has had no issues and looks like new.

5 of 5 My first GPS Wednesday, December 10, 2008
Hank from Gulf Breeze, FL
I rec'd the Garmin Nuvi 260 as a gift from a friend (Thanks Stan!) and liked it so much I bought 3 of them for my adult children. It is very user friendly and accurate in it's routing. The only criticism I have is that it may send you on a more round about path than a person who was familiar with the route might choose. BUT, it always gets you where you want to go and that's the name of the game!

5 of 5 Excellent, easy to use GPS Sunday, November 30, 2008
A Customer from Portland, ME
Second 260 I've purchased. First was for myself and was great. After lending it out, my girlfriend asked for the same one for herself. Easy to use, accurate, loaded with points of interest - best thing going. Also a great price for text-to-speech with named streets. Highly recommend.

5 of 5 There's nothing like a good refurb! Saturday, November 29, 2008
Danno from Alabama
I prefer buying factory refurbished items. They always seem to be top notch in quality and usually come at a much lower price. And this Nuvi 260 did not disappoint. I was also impressed with the short time it took Buy.com to get the product to me. Though I am still skeptical of this merchant, since I had less than adequate shipping problems with them once before. But this time, they seemed to nail it right on. This last experience has certainly not hurt my confidence toward Buy.com. I am now looking forward to shopping with them again.
